Porto Seguro is as vibrant as any part of Brazil. A schooner will take you from the bank of the city's Buranhem River 15 miles out to the Recife de Fora Marine Park for an exploration at sea. A city stairway will guide you up to the Cidade Historica to take it all in from above, alongside Capoeira demonstrations. And the Passarela Do Alcool, a street fair filled with craft carts, restaurants and enthusiastic performers will invite you to participate in Brazil's cultural tradition.

Situated on the beach, Arraial Praia offers a beautiful view over the ocean. Recently reformed, the new restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner now have a salon and deck, with also a fantastic ocean view. The infinity pool and wet bar guarantee the best spot in the region. The rooms also are reformed and offers all service needed.
I really liked it because I've read some bad reviews and was surprised because in my opinion it is much better than people say... Location: I liked it, awesome ocean view from restaurant, it is "feet on sand" kind of place, so you can leave breakfast straight to the beach, without having to cross a street or sidewalk. if you want to go everywhere there are vans stopping in front of it all the time, the whole day, they are cheap (usually 2,5 to 4 reais - a dollar and a half tops), remembering I went in new years eve...There is a couple restaurants that you can go by foot. It is located around 4km from the main square and Mucuge street. Staff: Great, did not have any problems, and I talked to a lot of different people to help me with lots of different stuff like cleaning the room out of regular time, asking for stuff in restaurant, help with the beach umbrellas, etc.. Restaurant: I loved breakfast... Lots of different stuff, you can ask for tapioca or a "crepe" (like a pancake), or eggs... People complained about juice. Well I think if it had an everyday juice (like orange) it would be great, because they always have three different kinds of juice, made with local fruits, so If you drink a "cupuacu" juice thinking it is orange, you're not gonna like it. Some that I drank there: mango, coccoa, acerola, grape, strawberry We lunched there one day, the meat was not very good, a friend asked for shrimp risotto and It was great. But we were out most of the time, so we tried more local restaurants.. Prices were very good, compared to were we live. If you want to have a beer on your beach umbrella, before noon, you have to go by yourself to get it. For us it was ok, because it is really close, and we were in 5. But some people go expecting for a waiter, and they do not start before noon. Room: As we were in a group, we chose a 5 people room. It was a little bit old, I think they have better (new) ones, ours was not beautiful, bathroom was ok, and we got it for a good price, and we were not expecting a 4 star room. They clean it very well everyday and change towels (I don't remember about sheets). Bring Insect repellent. Pools: Small, practically for children only... Only entered the hydro one, on the afternoon when there was nobody there... It was very good to relax.. They have free WiFi, but I think they should take a look at their infrastructure as the internet is really slow everywhere. And it almost didn't work inside the room. In general there were lots of families there, and a few couples. I would definitely go back, even with a girlfriend, because they have great rooms with ocean view. But I think the best is to go there and choose your room in site, so you don't have any surprises. And if you are a very demanding guest, pay for a expensive hotel. For me it was great value.

What a friendly host, communication upfront was really fun. They welcomed us in the middle of the night at 03.00am with a bottle of wine. Very friendly, nice room, with two single beds, we asked for. Don't forget to book your breakfast here. Fruits, cereal, coffee all very delicious, and we booked this just 24 hours before arrival. You made my start of my Braziltrip already unforgettable. 500 meter from the airport, 2 min taxidrive. Fabulous.

Wonderful 6 night family stay. Spacious apartment, very clean. Very accessible pool. Roughly 150 meters from the beach, but sufficiently away from the main beach road to be quiet. Excellent caipirinhas. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Big supermarket about a 5 minute drive up the highway. Wide open space for kids to run around.
