Attended a friends wedding here recently. Canico is built on 3 levels with the ground floor being on beach level, bar & terrace overlooking beach on next level and restaurant on top. Lift available for easy access. Food is amazing and the staff were wonderful. You can just have coffee and drinks during the day if you wish. The setting is what sells this place. Love it!

Ate here yesterday lunchtime. Sat outside and both waiters were very attentive. Ordered sardines, which came with salad and potatoes and roast chicken that came with chips and a small salad. My husband and I shared the sardines and my daughter had the chicken.Very nice, well cooked and good price, we had that, 3 beers, a half bottle of vino Verde apple juice and two coffees for â¬36.

Well disappointed isn't the word. I've known of this steakhouse for 3 years now and always rated it highly. For the first time I bought my boyfriend here, we had the steak special following starters and as always (for a treat) a dessert. The steak wasn't great at all, not cooked how asked for and full of fat.. not a true weight of meat served, the dessert was no longer homemade .. the starters was the best bit.The staff have changed too.. and not so welcoming nor accommodating and to some it may not be important but I didn't expect the guy who served me to be dressed as if he just left the beach. Best to say i was less than impressed and will not make a return. Changing hands in business really shows in the all round service, food and atmosphere of what was a beautiful restaurant.

Have walked past here many times over the past few years,but always very busy.Got a table today and to be honest,it was fantastic.We only ordered simple food,fresh baguette, which is a dark wholemeal bread with mozzarella and salad,chips and boiled garlic potatoes. But we couldn't believe how good it was.Service and price spot on too.Lunch of the holiday without doubt.It's a shame we are going home tomorrow or we could be straight back again,will next year,100 per cent.

Couldn't fault The Chicken Tavern. Food was topclass , with a good selection of dishes to try. Visited twice and between us tried 8 different main meals and everyone agreed that they were good. Would have visited more but we only discovered it 3 days before we left for home. Rustic decor , lots of local customers and very likeable staff. Couldn't recommend enough. Well worth the lengthy walk from where we stayed.
