The Bistro were willing and able to cater for our group of 7 close to closing time and they did a great job. The food was plentiful and delicious.

Called in for dinner when our preferred restaurant on the waterfront was closed. It was a mistake. The lass who took our order at the counter was apathetic, we ordered the fish dinner. The fish tasted stale and gave the impression of having been refried on more than one occasion. The salad with the meal was average. It was such a disappointment as I have eaten here in the past and it was great. Not so now unfortunately. Perhaps it has had a change of management. If not it needs to..Thanks for your review, we are sorry you didn't enjoy your experience this time. The restaurant is contracted out to the same people that have the restaurant on the waterfront. They have had the club for over 7 years. I will contact with them and pass on your review
Cafe and restaurant over looking beautiful Horizon's Golf Course, with spectacular sunsets, food and service
I have driven past this golf course a few times not being a big golfer I have never ventured inside so I decided to take a drive it was a Friday afternoon.I found out that they do a meat raffle on the Friday and a members raffle but it is not a private club it is like most other golf clubs anyone can play golf anyone can eat in the bistro / restaurant. My friends and I hung around for a couple of drinks and to watch the raffles we bought some tickets as well in the meantime we saw the dinner menu and decided that we would have dinner there. The food was top deck, there were some entrees and a few main courses and also some specials and there was even a dessert the sticky date pudding was to die for the sauce just oozed out of the pudding, it was so nice, my friend and I shared a pizza. It was a prawn pizza and it was so tasty and delicious, our other companion had the stuffed chicken which was stuffed with pumpkin spinach and feta it was really nice.I know a lot of these reviews always try to find something wrong I could not really find anything wrong with my experience on that afternoon / night everything was just simply sensational, I could not fault the service or the staff in the clubhouse / restaurant.I am not sure how long they have been there and if the golf club is separate to the restaurant, it looks as though it is upon looking at the menu and some of the signage around , but I will definitely be back again the food was just that good, it is definitely worth trying if you are in the area.

The service is quick and very attentive. Well worth the stop when at Nelson Bay.We do have the best spot in the bay donât we. It is great to be able to spend most of my time here. Our team love what they do and I think it really shows when we have our valuable guests leave happy. We would love to see you again when you are in the bay next.

With great views, food is serviced in a friendly environment. Service was prompt, proportions are generous and the meals delicious. The salt and pepper squid with crunchy Asian salad was particularly tasty. Be aware though to begin tour meal early as the kitchen and coffee machines close early.

Located on the ground floor at D'Albora Marina, Nelson Bay.
A spare of the moment decision took us to Nelsons Bay. We visited Mavericks on the bay, we were lucky enough to get a table by the window edge (the bar/restraunt) area is open to the elements so you can sit an wile away the day sipping on a cocktail day dreaming about living life on a luxury yatch whilst the sun kisses your skin. The restraunt is family friendly they have a small kids menu. The adult menu has a good variety of meals. The prices are reasonable and the meals are a good size without being oversized.

This pub is good, clean, doesn't smell of stale beer, and offers good and very reasonably priced meals. The staff are as friendly as a lost puppy, and they provide efficient and professional service. We will happily return on our next visit to Nelson Bay.

Located in the picturesque Nelson Bay, the Hope Taphouse radiates with rock and roll, good vibes and sunshine. You can find us upstairs at 3 Stockton St, Nelson Bay NSW. So bring a few friends and let us share with you exactly why we love our beer and why
What a rude arrogant person this one is behind the bar!! The one with tatts all over him as he wouldnt give me his name. After spending the day at Nelson Bay the kids and I ordered a large cheese pizza here patiently waiting 30 mins before then asking him if it would be coming out soon. Well was not expecting what was then to come out of his mouth! Telling me I had bad attitude and if I didnt like it to leave! Hey im not the one that forgot to even put the order through here and im sure thats no way to speak to a customer. Got my money back, rang your manager then went to Murrays Brewery which is 5 stars compared to here. Will not be back and as a local "word of mouth counts"! Honestly hospitality does not suit this person!!!

Open from 12pm daily. With a delicious range of fused Mediterranean and modern Australian dishes, The Terrace is the perfect way to kick back and relax where the sun rises and sets over the glittering bay. Barefoot luxury and casual dining by the pool is
Had a pleasant meal in the Terrace Bar. Quieter than Rick Steins, which is also used as the Breakfast Room and tends to be a bit noisy! Food was good, as were the drinks!

Super quick visit for an after dinner night cap. Really busy and popular hotel with beautiful relaxed decor. As weâd already eaten we were only planning a quiet drink before going back to our hotel ... the dishes being served at surrounding tables looked spectacular. The wine list was very impressive and I was very happy to see a favourite vineyard from a trip to orange (angullong) had multiple offerings. The shared dessert of sticky date pudding was the best weâve ever had
