The restaurant is beautiful and romantic: the old, vaulted cellar of the old city hall stylishly turned into a lovely yet cosy restaurant.
The service was friendly and very good - but the food something of a disappointment. Mostly just an average performance - the look of the place had lead us to anticipate more.

In Pori, at the market place, this restaurant and whisky bar sits in a building rather boring from the outside. Once you're in, this is retro at its best, or at least close to. I recall having visited this type of restaurants with my folks back in the seventies. The food and the service are however far above the Finnish seventies standards! I had king prawns in garlic and chili for starter, then on to an excellent fried perch, and finished it all off with a coffee and creme brulee. Everything, even the service far exceeded my expectations! Pori, however, can't be said to represent much of architectural beauty...

This is very popular restaurant by the sea side view. They offer the best sea food buffet at around 25Eur. the food is fresh and delicious. It gives you the taste of Finnish cuisine. One can order off the menu card too. they have the best Salmon soup one could ever have. Some reviewers might say the place is bit pricey but it is totally worth it. The service is great and the staff extremely polite.

The different assortiments of coffees are excellent. They roast their own coffee and it's absolutely delicious! The coffee itself is very clean and the staff is friendly. The location is great. But the tables by the windows are very cold during winter, which is unpleasant for the customers.

Grilli-Pori's 'Pieni kokoliha" is definitely the best hamburger in the world. Also other portions are really tasty.

We ate great steaks here. I had read recomendations about their beef steaks and decided to try them, and I suggested my friend would do the same.
My starter was reindeer carpaccio which was superb. There wasn't a lot meat, but that small bit was heavenly good.
For main course I ordered their peppar steak medium rare (medium minus), and my friend had some other beef steak as medium. We both got what we wanted. It was good quality meat, tasty and tender.
However, my pepper staak was once again soked in lots of creamy pepper sauce. I just wish Finnish retaurants learned to put the sauce in a separate cup or dish: the food would like very much more tempting.
Condiments and garnish weren't up to the same quality with the meet. Vegetables tasted like regular frozen products. French friends weren't very good either.
But I can forgive a lot, because the beef was very good, and their pricing was reasonable.
For dessert I had their chocolate thing.. I'm not even completely sure what it was, but it was so good.
The service was frinedly, but quite hasty and hectic. It was a very busy evening during the Pori Jazz and SuomiAreena events, and the restaurant was completely full. Even still we got our foods fast enough.
They have a good selection of wines from many countries. The Malbec red wine from Argentina recommended by our waitress was a good choice with my reindeer and beef.
I can recommend Andalucia for their good quality meat.

Stylish italian wine bar in city centre of Pori, we offer different type of wines, tapas, delicious coffees, appetizers and of course lovely, relaxing atmosphere. "With heart"
I've visited Elba many times, both for lunch and for a glass of wine in the evenings. Their baked potatoes are really good! I also appreciate their quite vast selection of wines! Also the decor is very nice. I highly recommend this establishment!

Petra's Cafe always has plenty of fresh, delicious and lactose-free (not so common elsewhere) salty and sweet pastries to offer. The prices are reasonable and the environment is nice and cozy with other happy customers around you.

We recently had dinner at this restaurant, for the first time. Finally there's competition on where you can get the best steaks in Pori.
We both had the same course and it was excellent. Mine was more like medium minus and my wife's medium plus. But both tasted very good.
The salad they served as starters, let's say their forte is the meat.
The house wine was good said my wife. I found their selection of beers a bit hollow. No excellent lagers available, only dark ales and such.
The dessert was good but again, it's a steakhouse, that's what they do best.
About the atmospere, I found the big screen running a loop of their advertizing quite annoying. And the interior could use a rethink, it's not shabby but it could be much better.
