The caves of Ponza are steeped in mystical mythology—legend has it that Ponza was Homer’s inspiration for the sorceress Circe’s island in The Odyssey. The whole island has a magical feel to it, from the grottoes to the botanical gardens to the underground labyrinth of Roman tunnels. Schedule a boat tour so that you can explore the entire island by sea—a truly spectacular experience.

It's situated in the most quiet and spectacular spot of the island.) On this side there are beaches and sea shores where you ) can go on foot and you can go swimming ) without taking the boat.) The rooms are comfortable, all with private bathrooms, telephone, air-) conditioning, refridgerator, a safe, tv and most of them, have a ) balcony or terrace with a lovely sea view.
My experience at this hotel was excellent. The owner and the staff (Giovanna and Lucia) were very helpful and professionals. The cleanliness of room is great. The view from the hotel is fantastic and the food quality at the restaurant is very good too. I feel that I need to recommend this beautiful place!

Welcome to the Grand Hotel Santa Domitilla, one of the most prestigious hotels on the island of Ponza and the whole Mediterranean coastline. Our elegant and refined common areas have a cool Mediterranean décor and our splendid gardens with their abundance of Mediterranean and exotic plants are surrounded by typical Ponza-style terraces. Two seawater swimming pools are hidden behind a mass of purple bougainvillea, and our fabulous Wellbeing Course winds between lemon trees and fox grapes to the picturesque Roman Grottos with their different temperatures (from 19 to 37°C), numerous hydromassage jets, and the exquisite Arabic style and chromo-therapeutic lighting of the Turkish Bath. Then there is the prestigious restaurant and wine bar, “Il Melograno”, that offers gastronomic delights in wisteria draped bowers.
My husband and I stayed in Ponza for five nights. It was wonderful and the staff, especially Hugo, were very kind and helpful. They gave us great recommendations and helped to book a boat to explore the island and neighboring islands. Breakfast was great each morning as was the hotel restaurant. The rooms are great and we'll kept. Pool and steam room was also a treat. The hotel was close to everything and very well kept. Highly recommended!

We spent 5 nights in this charming and quite new guest house. The location it is just perfect: It is very close to the harbor but very quiet during the night. The room was big enough and well equipped. The breakfast is the typical sweet Italian breakfast. Maybe some fruits could be added in the menu. We really appreciated all the advices and the smile of the owner Francesca and the kindness of Irina.

Maga Circe apartments sit on a ridge of Cala Feola bay and are a perfect combination of tradition and comfort, an ideal place to spend a holiday in total freedom for those who prefer a quiet and relaxing stay. It is located 100 meters from the beach and consists of 20 different size residential units equipped with private entrance and parking, wide open spaces and panoramic position overlooking Cala Feola bay. The rooms are well furnished and provided with a fully equipped kitchen, and whoever wishes may dine at "La Terrazza" rooftop restaurant (a few hundred meters away), taking advantage of a convention reserved for our guests. Near the complex there is a minimarket and a bar with tobacco store for the most immediate needs. Other shops, bars and restaurants are located in the centre of Le Forna village, about 900 meters away, also connected by bus every 30 minutes. Possibility of taking boat trips or renting motor boats directly from the small port near Cala Feola beach.

Piccolo Hotel Luisa was recently restored, following the Mediterranean tradition mingled with the oriental taste of its owners. Unforgettable buffet-like breakfast and a warm welcome from the family who runs this charming hotel.
We didnt reside in the hotel but we came here for dinner with friends! We received a very warm welcome and the service was pristine. The staff were very knowledgable about the meal and suggested the different dishes that we might enjoy. The fish was delightful and fresh and the dessert ( tiramisu ) was to die for! I will definitely return on my next trip to Ponza!

The Captivating Hotel Chiaia di Luna, totally renovated, is located in a natural amphitheater which is only a sheer drop to the sea, facing the beach which shares name with the hotel. The hotel has a breath-taking view of the harbor as well as the bay of Chiaia di Luna and Palmarola. On the 2000 m2 of terraces, you will enjoy the pool which is next to the "Chiaia di Luna" restaurant (also open for external) and the famous lounge bar "KIBAR."
Paid for sea view. Ok - maybe a small view but the real issue is that sea view rooms are over the bar/club. False advertising saying noise is only through august. We are in an outdated, smelly, small room with barely working air conditioning. It’s September and the argument at front desk saying “we were warned” is not valid. Took cold showers and still up all night. I’m a hotelier - this is a perfect “bait and switch” hotel that sits on the most amazing cliff yet offers nothing. Not worth the price. No warmth. No welcoming environment. Zero “dolce vita”. I should have known seeing the scantily dressed girls handing out postcards advertising the bar once we exited the ferry. No “high end” hotel would ever have to stoop to that level to draw in customers. Again - outdated. It’s a shame since the property is sitting on the most beautiful setting. What a waste! I want to buy this hotel - I want to offer the warmth, ambiance, and character that this special place needs. I’d rather sleep on a boat and n the harbor next time.

We visited Ponza for the first time in July. Villa Ersilia and Ponza are my daughter and son in laws favorite places on earth. They wanted to share this amazing place with us by getting married right here. What and amazing , beautiful place!! Pictures don’t do it justice . Just breath taking. The terraces overlooking the sea are beautifully landscaped and generous in size. There is a lot of room outside for all guests to either mingle together or find a quiet private area to view the beauty. The owner was so very generous and wonderful to work with . The breakfast was yummy. The rooms were large and nicely appointed . The beds and linens are very comfortable. I loved everything about this property.... was perfect.
