Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Gdansk. One of Poland’s most beautiful cities, Gdansk, on the Baltic Sea, has played major roles in history, especially in the 20th-century. It was the 1939 flash point of World War II, and then in 1980, the birthplace of the Solidarnosc labor movement, ushering the end of Communist domination in Eastern Europe. Gdansk’s Old Town, painstakingly reconstructed to its Hanseatic League glory after being leveled in World War II, is a highlight. The 14th-century Town Hall houses the city’s historical museum.

We were determined to eat some seafood in Gdansk, so we looked for a seafood restaurant though we were not hungry. I ordered grilled shrimp and salad while my friend ordered a seafood platter. The shrimp was fresh, well-spiced, and well-cooked with slight smoky flavor from the charcoal. The bruschetta with the tomato-based salsa was a great pair for the shrimps. The seafood platter contained mussels, shrimps, crayfish, calamary. I tried only the calamary and it was really nice. The house salad had a perfectly-balanced salty, sweet, sour, and oily taste, which was refreshing the pallatte after the seafood. The orange juices were freshly squeezed. Was totally satisfying food experience!

The seabass was just perfect. The ratatouille with it was also great by itself, although the chorizo (or something like that) was too strong thus interfered with the fish.Staff and services at very high level.

I have been at Pasta House for 4 times now. I usually get the same portion, spaghetti or fusili with chicken, cream sauce and some parmesan on top. Delicious! And all for under 20 zloty.Service is great and there hasnt been any language barrier, food is very good and you get it very quickly. Its filling too so that one portion does take away the hunger. Place is small and comfy, you can eat there or use takeawayI rarely care too much about fast food places but I love this place and definitely take it over the local kebab and pizza places

We are a seaside restaurant with modern but cozy decor. Our head chef uses only fresh ingredients to create a seasonal menu. Our specialty are sea fishes and the complement of the menu are salads and meat.
Yesterday we visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, started with superb fish soup followed by seafood pasta and Halibut fillet the food was excellent. I had also ordered strawberry cheesecake and a rasberry mousse which by the description would be worth trying, after almost 20 mins wait my patience wore thin i asked for the bill, I said I would try them again to which they said please do, so England through to the semis celebratory meal is called for off we go, starters arrive fish soup, beetroot soup and piri piri prawns, fish soup not quite as good as yesterday but acceptable,I haven't quite finished my starter when the waitress brings the main i tell her I'm not ready I need 2mins, 12 mins later after my prompting her i get my mains (Halibut) to which i was really looking forward, cold not enjoyable was so disappointed, I had ordered dessert along with my whole order after waiting 15 mins and again prompting the waitress she apologises she forgot, desserts were fine, It is a shame that this restaurant can serve such quality food yet there appears to be poor communication between the floor and kitchen after all if you had had a customer in who complained but came back the next day would you not try to give the best service as should be given to all clients

When at the coast, it has to be fish for dinner - and when it comes to Poland's Tri-City, there is nowhere better than Dom Sushi, a fine Japanese sushi bar located by the Motlawa River in GdaÅsk. The sushi masters strive daily to combine the traditional w
I had dinner with my wife at Dom Sushi by the Riverfront in the evening of Dec 29th. The restaurant is quite small and the seats not really comfortable. We had a very good warm Ginger spiced beverage to begin with. As starter we had Kamo no Sarada and Sukiyaki Udon as main course. The food was very good, service could have been a bit more caretaking and friendly.

We tried the baked salmon, fish and chips and a salat. Everything was very tasty. The place was overloaded though, so we had to wait for a while to be served. Good option if you're not in a hurry.

Underwhelming is the best way to describe our experience at this restaurant. Firstly the stakes were excellent (but expensive for Poland) the sides were less than inspiring bordering on poor. The service was appalling it took over two hours to get drinks and our main course and the staff were just not interested. I would not go back.Dear trevwag, thank You for Your opinion. "Firstly the stakes were excellent (but expensive for Poland)" - we work with the best product You can get and that is why Your steak ware excellent...maybe a bit more expensive, but as You mention excellent "it took over two hours to get drinks and our main course" - please describe Your waiter, give as date and time of Your stay. We will check our cameras. Please forgive me, but we never had such an situation. It is not possible, two hours for drinks and food⦠and You didnât leave â¦

Amazingly tasty beautifully presented food in a restaurant right by the river. I had the scallops with peas which were perfectly cooked and went beautifully with the pea sauce followed by the halibut. Both were delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. Not the cheapest place in the world though.

We came upon this restaurant in Gdansk when looking for a good fish dinner. We were able to get in without a reservation, but one is recommended. The appetizer of marinated trout with beet root, caviar was delicious. My wife's main course was the best Halibut she ever had - buttery texture with risotto, celery, mushrooms, prawns. I had home made pappardelle fruitti di mare in a light but very flavorful broth - also outstanding. Our server was kind and friendly with excellent English and great knowledge of the restaurant's offerings. Atmosphere is sophisticated and modern. Many locals eat here - always a good sign, Truly a memorable meal.https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g274725-d12034043-r710003371-Correze-Gdansk_Pomerania_Province_Northern_Poland.html#Dear Neil what a wonderful review- thank You very much :) It was a huge pleasure to meet you.
