Visiting Kartuzy, where my mother was born in 1903, we could not trace the house she stayed in, but ended our visit to Poland with an exceptional culinary experience. With a trilingual menu not understanding Polish was not a problem and the traditional Kashubian food was excellent.

I'll just expand the title a bit. It has some interesting regional items on the menu, but unfortunately it wasn't as good as expected. Prices are average; the setting is nice. Within Chmielno it's not a bad option, but don't expect a hidden gem. It's just average food with a Kaszebian twist.

I had a chance to visit this place together with my family. It was delicious. I tried 'Kaczka po Kasztelansku', kids took chicken-everything was prepared really quickly, I was really under impression. For desert apple pie was delicious and chocolate cream quite unusual taste but I like it with this mango cream. Worth to visit this place, we will come back there for sure.

Excellent restaurant with traditional food! The rustic atmosphere and the staff make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk inside. The menu has a lot of options, too bad there wasn't an English translation...Fortunately my waitress took the time to explain me everything and I appreciated her help a lot. I tried the duck chest (appetizer) and the fried sander with rice garnished with an amazing sauce, peas and carrots. Very tasty and well seasoned. I felt like the duck was a little overcooked, but it was the first time I tasted it in my life so I'm not really sure how it was supposed to be. The sander was perfect and I loved every bite of it. I did my best to finish everything, but it was too much. Make sure to be extremely hungry when you get here, because the portions are HUGE! I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
