Here at Shapla Balti cuisine we offer you a wide range of delicious traditional and new dishes to suit every palate. We are the region's authentic Punjabi, Kashmiri, Indian and Bengali specialist restaurant and we are fully licenced with air conditioning.
Decided on the off chance to pop in and order a takeaway. The staff were so welcoming. Shook my hand, offered me a seat. I explained I wanted a takeaway menu which they provided. The restaurant was thriving. They provided chocolates while I looked at the menu. It's very extensive but they also offer to try and cook you from fresh if what you want isn't there. All the food is prepared freshly.I'm not a hot food fan as I have a low tolerance but they helped me choose what would work and I selected a range of food. Cost was very reasonable for two people. When it arrived the bag was quite heavy! They were very friendly as they explained what I had in the bag.The food.... Was superb. i can honestly say excellent value for money. Cooked to perfection and piping hot. They also deliver it seems. Absolutely worth a visit. Cooked from fresh took almost 25 minutes but worth every minute. Best takeaway I've had for years. It's an Indian Restaurant with food from several districts and countries.

First visit to this place. Looks nice inside and we were welcomed on arrival. From then on it just got better popodoms to start with, the menu is not extensive but when order was taken we were told that if we had an idea of what we liked they would cook I asked for something with a boiled egg in it for my main it was suggested the a chilli and garlic dish made hot would be good so I chose lamb. The starter I had Bengal fish absolutely delicious our friends enjoyed theirs as well. The mains came and again the one I had was delicious and again our friends enjoyed theirs as well. I had mango delight for dessert again really nice. The service was great and the facilities good with good access for wheelchairs. Well worth more visits. Thanks for a lovely evening

Montana has deservedly won quite a few awards for the quality of the food they prepare. We have been here quite a few times, both to eat in, and for take out, bit it has been a little while since we last ate in. I am pleased to say that this restaurant remains one of my favourite Indian/Kashmiri restaurants. The standard of food here surpasses any other similar restaurant any where, in my opinion. The menu is varied, with a wide selection of dishes based on the regions of the northern part of the subcontinent, and there is a good choice for the vegetarians amongst us. The staff will tell you that any dish on the menu can be prepared as a vegetarian option, which means that veggies have the same varied choice as the carnivores! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, will take the time to explain the dishes, and are very attentive. This time we went for the banquet night, which at £14.95 per person for 2 courses, is excellent value. Starting with poppadoms and pickles, followed by onion bhaji (the best bhaji on the planet!), and a nice hot curry. The spices are not over done as you find in many Indian restaurants. The dishes are spiced much more as you would find locally in India or Bangladesh or Pakistan, with a nice great, but full of flavour. If you have not yet tried Nibana, I thoroughly recommend you do.
