What a terrible night.
Reviewed By Steve SWe are driving through Europe so by the time we get into an hotel we need a good nights sleep, well, you are not going to get one here. This 3 star hotel is almost £100 a night and more with parking (car) and there is no air con ( this is July ) We were not told this when we booked in and it isn't something you would expect to worry about today. We went out to eat, came back and then noticed it, We went down to ask and the response we got was that we should open the window, Oh really - July and that would help how ? Our room overlooks the street so we had people walking and chatting, cars and trucks driving past, the train station isn't far so we had that too, apparently the air port isn't far either, that's nice. Add all that noise to the heat and you might as well sleep in the car. I was woken about 6-ish and from then on it was constant noise. Do yourself a favor and find a different hotel to stay in because this one is pants. The room is clean but minimalist, one pillow, one sugar, oh but you can have a small pack of Haribo, or some peanuts for £2.50.

Reviewed By Lovetoski24Stayed for one night on a journey through Germany. Basic hotel but clean and quiet. Easy to find. Breakfast has plenty of choices and nice. 10 minute walk into town where there are places to go for a drink or to eat.

Reviewed By ruedi_nbgUnser Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Das Mobiliar ist ok und genügt den Ansprüchen einer Pension. Leider kein Frühstücksangebot und keine Unterstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder. Das Restaurant im Haus sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Gute Küche zu vertretbaren Preisen.

Reviewed By gemma rMy daughter and I stayed at the Schurwald for a short Christmas mini-break to visit markets and experience Southern Germany. The hotel was simple, comfortable and pleasant. The photographs on booking.com are misleading, we thought we were staying in a traditional building but in fact it is quite modern. Nestled inbetween shops on the high street. It has a really convenient location within easy walking distance of the train station. From the hotel dining area you have sight of the architecturally interesting social housing development that is reminiscent of Gaudi. Right opposite a pub but no noise. The room was comfortable, light and spacious, beds were comfortable and there was a tv in the room. The breakfast was varied, plentiful and hot. There is a free-vend good quality hot drinks machine residents are free to use. The showers were very powerful and hot. Staff pleasant and spoke enough English and we German to understand each other. Criticisms - no evening meal available in the hotel. No kettle in the room. There is a fridge, but you had to request items with a preorder price list rather than taking what you need as you need it.
