Just north of Cancun, this seaside resort community is a far cry from the spring-break crowd. Bordered on one side by the Mexican Caribbean and the other by a wetlands wildlife preserve, the vibe in Playa Mujeres is one of laid-back luxury in a natural, untouched landscape. Unlike many other such tranquil places, Playa Mujeres is not a pain to get to. It's an easy ride from Cancun airport.

Peter's Restaurant...Where flavors & feeling meet...Peter really likes and wants to Cook and please his guests with a memorable dinner in a cozy setting with personal attention from himself, his wife Claudia and son Eder. Small, cozy restaurant where one feels at home while enjoying an excellent dinner. Interesting menu with a different flair in dishes and preparations, Good Wine list with also options by the glass.
We have been going to Peters since he opened. It is our favorite here! We go at least twice a week and feel like family. His food is superb and Peter, Claudia and Eddie make me feel at home!!!

Kiosco Verde is a classic local restaurant in Cancún specialized in seafood. It is in both local and foreign taste since 1964. Our dishes are a mix of local ingredients based on a rustic preparation.
El Kiosco Verde (The Green Kiosk), you will find mostly locals but also tourists. We've followed the recs. from TA and been very happy with all Certificate of Excellence restaurants. One dinner, we veered off and regretted it. That being said, this certificate of excellence little restaurant Is close to the Puerto Juarez ferry and Amara /Puerta Mar Condos. It would be worth it to stop in, if you were coming off of Isla Mujeres from Puerto Juarez. Free parking out front and only a block or two from the ferry parking garage of UltraMar, across from the Naval Station. You would never have guessed this was a foody place in the neighborhood. We walked by it several times without thinking about it. The area is slightly rough with graffiti and some trash, but not unsafe. Luis was our waiter and he was very accommodating. The only thing we didn't love were the thick chips and guacamole. We ordered the Empanadas with fish called: Raya en salsa verde. It came with four fried empanadas and they were super tasty. Then, my husband got the Ceviche Nikei, (not on the menu yet but you can ask for it). He said it was the best Ceviche he's ever had. Hands down. Made from coconut juices, limes, poblano chili and cilantro. Super fresh. Lots of flavors. Beautiful presentation. I am not a fishy fish eater, so I ordered the Grilled Grouper filet with pesto. Wow. Wow. It came with rice and a light fresh salad. Grilled to perfection. We also got the banana bread with ice-cream desert and blue berries for desert. See all my pictures. I put the names down too since there is not an English menu. All this plus four drinks was about $50 US, including tip. We had way too much food and brought some home. This restaurant in Miami would be double. Don't be intimidated by the Spanish only menu. Get there early as they close around 7PM. It's nice in the daylight, so I would recommend a late lunch or early dinner. We'll be back!

Flamingos, one of the most iconic seafood restaurants in Cancun with 41 years of history. In Flamingos Restaurant we have capacity for 250 diners, a spectacular sea view and a large garden area where diners will be invited to grill and roast meats during the weekends, children's play area for the whole family to enjoy Maximum every moment with us. Do not forget to try our specialties at the firewood and enjoy our Fish Market.
Stayed nearby at Villa Del Palmar. If we didn’t have all inclusive we would have come here everyday ! The service was great. Very little English spoken, but with my little bit of Spanish we made it work ! Wood grilled shrimp was fantastic, best margaritas and you have to get the lobster tails! To end this great evening , the manager even drove us back to the resort !

Enjoy at Les Cépages Restaurant a delicious "Foie-Gras Torchon". It will be a pleasure serving you.Best Wishes,Chef Sal
We've been going to Les Cepages since it opened...every year on our annual Cancun trip. It is still our favorite restaurant in Cancun, and believe me there is much competition. Read my past reviews - nothing has changed and if anything, it's even better. Chef Sal is in love with food! Just hearing him describe the menu makes us believers. Take a taxi as it's hard to find and not on the main bus route. Just go - You won't be disapppointed.

Our philosophy is a simple one: Quality over Quantity. Our menu is internationally inspired with hints of Mexican cuisine on every plate. We truly believe in sourcing the best ingredients possible, everything on the plate is there for a specific reason. Think of an orchestra, if every musician is great, but one is out of tune, it ruins the whole experience. So we concentrate on flavors over bland ; refinement over generic; and audacity over conventional. It’s what we do that defines us and it’s our passion that drives us!
