Not bad but not good either. Just an average run of the mill Greek tourist restaurant. Standard tourist menu nothing special. When will the locals realise some independent travellers actually want some twist on the souvlaki, calamari, tzatziki basic stuff you can get in thousands of Cretan places every night.Oh well....

We visited this restaurant while staying in Avra Imperial. We had kind of high expectation since the restaurant was somewhat hyped as kind of fine dining with corresponding prices. The food was ok. We had some sushi but the nigiri pieces was way to big. Enormous amount of rice. Which some non-japanese sushi places for some reason do. I had an avarage chicken soup and an ok duck. My girlfriend had a veal dish that was avarage. The winelist was also avarage in my opinion. I guess it all boils down preference. But this is a 5 star Hotel and the restaurant is kind if fronted as a corresponding restaurant. Far from it in my eyes. Lower the prices and the total experience would be better for us. We chose this place amongst several from the row,... Neighbouring Restaurant was full so we decided to avoid rush,.. Maybe this was a sign - food in the neighbourhood maybe better. Food was not that good - my lamb was grilled dry, too dry,... Service was ok but to be honest price quality ratio wasn't that good.As an advice - family should improve if they want to keep their customers,... Bad news Travel fast. But this is a problem in tourist attractions, business is certain and nobody cares,... Except me,... This was my 4th Cretan visit but certainly I will not return to this restaurant. There are more places to go.

Yesterday (2.8.2019) our family with four kids and two adults visit your restaurant. We got this restaurant recommended by our hotel, and where super happy with the service and fantastic food. After trying several restaurants in this village I can say this is the best fish tavern. Let them suggest you about the catch of the day and youâll have a good experience. The take the fish directly from the fish shop in front of the restaurant owned by the fisherman. As usual they offer you a dessert at the end of the dinner or fresh fruit and raki. The location is also nice and the service is very good.

Very pleasant, tranquil setting right opposite the sea. No noise from cars or other means of transport..A lot of attention was paid to the serving of the food and the plates which we received all looked very attractive. The service was prompt, efficient and very friendly. Considering the quality of the food the price was very reasonable. The complimentary cake was the tastiest that I have had anywhere. All in all a lovely place for both couples and families to eat. We will certainly be going again some time in the near future.

Absolutely fantastic cuisine! Delicious and fresh sea food. Tasty local wine, liquor and freshly cooked desserts! Moreover, you can buy here homemade local Greek liquor with rose, that is great for the presents!!! We definitely recommend this restaurant for a visit!

We previously visited 3 years ago for lunch and so decided it was time for a return to celebrate my wife's birthday. They pride themselves in providing Cretan dishes in a style that is different to the usual taverna fayre. My wife had lamb and mushroom risotto whilst I had smoked pork fillet and once again the food was excellent. We had a bottle of the house red.As a treat this worked well however our preference is for hearty taverna food at cheaper village prices.
