Sounds is the offshoot of Six String Brewing Co, so not only are we local, but we take great pride in supporting Australian artisan producers, suppliers and ingredients (including herbs grown right in our backyard). Live music exclusively supports the Coa
Attended the book launch for Marcel Thompson hare and it was such a great vibe. Great cocktails, happy, friendly and fun staff (thank you Jane!) It was catered so I canât comment on their menu but the food offered was very good. A little lite on the gluten free options but that was for my friend not me so I was good! Lol The place looks good and feels great.

I'm a bit mixed but have to unfortunately be more negative than positive. The beer is very good BUT very warm, the pizzas are delicious, unfortunately listening to hard core rap f ing and blinding with young kids is not enjoyable, the place is unfortunately run by young kids who are friendly but in there own teenage world, has loads of potential, they should look around and take note of the type of clientele, owner should be around more.

Set on the stunning shores of Pittwater, The Newport is a vibrant gathering place for all ages. Nestled amongst idyllic gardens, and incorporating various outdoor dining spaces and bars, the sprawling grounds include areas perfect for whiling the day and
Whilst itâs a lovely outlook, if you can sit near the water to capture the view, the food is ordinary and zero variety. We ordered a Gambero pizza - prawns which consisted of 1 prawn per slice - for $26 I would honestly expect more than than 1 prawn/per slice with a few chillies here and there and then whacked with a Sunday 10% surcharge. Adding share plates or grazing plates to their menu would be great - I just found it underwhelming and these days you can find better pub/restaurant food on the northern beaches that have a similar outdoor area with far superior food on offer.

My husband chose this as the destination for our regular drive in the MGB. It was a much longer drive than we thought, but it was well worth it once we got there. We were surprised that it was so busy for a weekday. The outdoor seating is quite extensive and well shaded. We both enjoyed the fish and chips which was hot and crispy and served with a delicious tartare sauce. The range of beers available is great.

What a fantastic find. Went with friends for dinner and we were all delighted. Fantastic food and really good service. The menu was different and exciting, beautiful presentation and amazing flavours. Pasta was as good as they say! All 7 of us were delighted by our meals and very impressed!

Boutique Wine/Cocktail bar in the hub of Avalon village, with cold beer, interesting folk, smooth cocktails and tasty small bites....
Great place to come for a bit of live music and good atmosphere. It is a small bar which does bar food so it can get a bit crowded but if you want to catch up with friends you can't beat it. The chef - who looks like Gordon Ramsey - is on hand behind the bar, in the kitchen and even on the microphone belting out a few numbers. Good fun place.

Ate here a couple of times, good value for money and really nice food. Steak cooked exactly to my taste. Drinks were reasonably priced too. Lovely outdoor seating area. I did get a few mozzies nibbling on me as it was evening but it wouldn't stop me eating here again!
