A great lunch deal with two courses and a glass of wine included if you book. Good choices, lovely view of the lake and very good service although it did take a while to take our order. If you sit close to the window, it may be warm. They do have shade blinds. We wished we sat inside because we were close to another couple. She had a very loud voice and did not make any positive conversation. A bit draining.Wish we had asked to move inside where there was airconditioning and only a few people. Beyond the control of the restaurant but the tables are quite close! We will still be back. That berry panacotta dessert was so good!

My husband, who is a lovely gentle soul, visited yesterday mid-morning on my suggestion while I was off doing errands. He ordered the $10 combo bacon & egg roll with bacon.Whilst the roll itself tasted fine, he was a little disappointed that even though he sat there for another hour reading a paper, after finishing the meal and coffee, no waitress came by to take his plate or empty cup away, or indeed to even ask if he would like anything else. This was despite them being fairly quiet at the time.

A bar and brasserie reminiscent of the grand hotel dining rooms of the 1930s, with the relaxed air of Sydney's northern beaches.
Its a palace of soft jade-coloured velvet chairs, white linen tablecloths, bistro lights, concourse windows overlooking watery views. An open seafood counter with rows of market fish weighed, priced and lined up on mounds of ice, waiters in white waistcoats and â40s jazz- is surely one of the most evocative dining spaces in Oz. We start with brioche toast with trout roe and chicken butter, teamed with a dozen oysters. Followed with ravioli and buffalo ricotta and warrigal greens,. The Hapuna fish with artichoke, Turkish peppers was outstanding. The rhubarb soufflé with calvados custard just made it a heady success

We went for a catch up with family for lunch. The food selection was good. There wasnt a great selection of wine and pricing probably average for the area.. we all oredered different foods. I had the gnocchi, which was yummy. My husband had the lamb but was overdone and the veggies not cooked enough. The salad looked nice and the calamari was ok. Great location and service.

I think that Bronze Kiosk still serves up the best coffee in Mona Vale, great flavour and milk texture.Bronze Kiosk also has amazing views of Mona Vale beach. You can sit inside or outside and it is also a great place to bring your dog.The food is delicious especially the crab scrambled eggs.

At Rough & Bare, our name is our philosophy. We create meals the way nature intended - stripped back, nourishing and wholesome. We believe people are defined by the food and drink they consume and having personally experienced the incredible results attain
Fresh and airy, contemporary interior......If you like healthy meals, with plenty of flavour, raw deserts and gluten free food, nut milk and coconut caps, as well as the regular kind, this is the place! Friendly staff who remember me even if I donât go every day. Definitely my coffee stop in Mona Vale. They even bake their own gluten free bread which you can pick up fresh from the oven on Tuesday afternoons, perhaps they bake another time as well ....

I'm a bit mixed but have to unfortunately be more negative than positive. The beer is very good BUT very warm, the pizzas are delicious, unfortunately listening to hard core rap f ing and blinding with young kids is not enjoyable, the place is unfortunately run by young kids who are friendly but in there own teenage world, has loads of potential, they should look around and take note of the type of clientele, owner should be around more.

Good coffee, good food, bit pricey. Very busy and hard to find s table for group of 6 and had to wait a while and ended up with a large table in the middle which wasnât convenient for conversation. Had coffee and homemade muffins which were delicious. Have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed with food but it is on the pricey side for sure. As itâs near the beach, parking is a nightmare on weekends, be prepared to drive around to fit a spot and may need to walk some distance so leave plenty of time in advance.

Agree with the other recent contributors who have reviewed Paddock & Vine that the food and service is excellent. Enjoyed the ability to share plates which provided the ability to try a number of items on the menu. Menu and Wine List are not huge but our host indicated they change regularly. Service was good providing knowledgeable information of the food and wine. Would definitely return. Was there on a mid-week cold, quiet night so could not gauge the acoustics but they seemed OK.

We came here a few years ago and loved it. However this time around we were underwhelmed. We arrived just before the lunch rush and the restaurant was empty. We didnât have a reservation and the wait staff hesitated before giving us a seat. We sat inside and it was a bit noisy as we were close to the kitchen and the kitchen equipment is quite loud. The prices around the $30 mark for mains. We decided to get a selection of entrees and have a tapas style meal. We ordered the chicken wings, the salmon plate, and the oven roasted Camembert. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the salmon plate and the camembert, but when the chicken wings came out they were four scrawny little wings. To the restaurant âs credit they brought out two extra wing unprompted and explained the size of the wings was much smaller than usual. When we tucked in to the Camembert we noticed that it was still solid in the centre and it didnât look like it had been cooked at all. We told the waiter that we thought theyâd forgotten to put it in the oven and he took it away to be cooked again. When he brought it into the kitchen he too realised that it was not cooked at all. He then came back to us and apologised for the mistake and gave us a free serving of haloumi on the house. We really liked the Camembert and the haloumi. Our friends had the barramundi with chorizo and they were very happy with their dish. At the end of the meal we they felt that they were trying to get us to evacuate the table pretty quickly. The service was efficient but we felt like they were trying to get rid of us at the end. Overall we thought the restaurant was okay and we appreciated that they gave us some freebies to make up for their mistakes. However we probably wonât come back here in a rush.We truly appreciate the time that you took to write this review...I am delighted that our management team dealt with the issues at hand efficiently and that you enjoyed your overall experience. We are dissapointed to hear about the Camembert dish at the end and we have addressed this with the kitchen. With regards to our chicken wings, the portion sizes are standard chicken wings and as you know chicken sizes can vary, but we are always happy to add more (normally there is between 5-6 wings per portion). I did chat to our team who was on duty on Sunday and they guaranteed me that they did not rush you as we had no follow up tables after yours, we apologise if you have felt that way as I know it is not in our nature to rush a table, in fact we want our guests to enjoy their full 2 hour sitting. We hope to see you back at Barbuto for better experience.
