We here to get lunch. Not too many people to be served, but the waiter came asking if we ordered this and that. Somehow he had forgotten who ordered what and just went around asking who had ordered the dumplings he was holding. Anyways, the food was good and plenty and the dumplings were especially tasty. Everything was good except for the little hiccup in the beginning.We've definately have had some hiccups in these first two weeks but I can promise we'll be doing better in near future. Glad to hear that food was plentiful and tasty! Thank you for feedback and we'll hope to see you again soon!

I used to despair over eating sushi out. Now I don't. Umami offers sushi that is lightyears ahead of anything else you can get in Finland, and most likely a solid competitor anywhere else too except in some halow grounds of sushi masters. They make everything to order, and the chef decides what you get. The ingrediens are always top-notch, but it's the rice that makes the place. Unbelievable. They make a vegan selection upon request. Usually there is little variety, but that is okay, because it is so darn goooooood.

Mostly the sushi you find served in Finnish restaurants is mediocre, or at best acceptable, and the market focuses on all-you-can-eat buffets. For some reason, Tampere has for some time featured two excellent á la carte service sushi restaurants, much better than anything I have eaten elsewhere in the country. Now we have a third one, and all in the same town!Fujimi surprised me with a well thought-out selection of vegetarian sushi (which can be ordered as a vegan version). The champignon and the zucchini nigiri had delicate roasted flavour coupled with the house herb sauce. The maki rolls had carrot cooked just right, so the distinctive sweet aroma comes out without losing the texture. The inari sushis were as they are at their best, the perfect dessert.i will definitely return here for a full dinner, since the starters sounded interesting, especially the spicy edamames with miso!

Without exaggeration this was the best meal Iâve ever eaten. We shared several courses between three including ox cheek, duck slider and several others. Iâve never tasted anything so good.
