There are many Chinese restaurants in Tampere but this is the place I choose when dying for some chili chicken. Other options are very tasty too and the price range is average if not cheap.

Had an early dinner there. The ambiente is warm and cody, staff very friendly. They served a buffet with around 10 different Indian dishes, Naan, rice, soup, sauces and salad. Tasty and spicy, and the soup was just delicious.

It is quite hard to find good Nepalese food for vegans in Finland. I was flabbergasted by the dishes Katmandu offered. The vegetarian pakaudas were most likely the best version of this dish ever, and their mint chutney is to die for. Palak chana (chick peas, garlic and spinach) was also a bull's eye. Highly recommended! One of the best restaurant meals I have had in this genre.

Mostly the sushi you find served in Finnish restaurants is mediocre, or at best acceptable, and the market focuses on all-you-can-eat buffets. For some reason, Tampere has for some time featured two excellent á la carte service sushi restaurants, much better than anything I have eaten elsewhere in the country. Now we have a third one, and all in the same town!Fujimi surprised me with a well thought-out selection of vegetarian sushi (which can be ordered as a vegan version). The champignon and the zucchini nigiri had delicate roasted flavour coupled with the house herb sauce. The maki rolls had carrot cooked just right, so the distinctive sweet aroma comes out without losing the texture. The inari sushis were as they are at their best, the perfect dessert.i will definitely return here for a full dinner, since the starters sounded interesting, especially the spicy edamames with miso!

Surprisingly high ratings in TA despite the restaurant being run-down and dirty. The location is excellent and very central, but the place in desperate need of renovation and of a through scrubbing. The table and the menu folders were sticky of old grease. The food then. We were here for supper. There was a free salad buffet for starters. Dull and with an odd mixture of ingredients, some quite far from thai kitchen (e.g. plain green salad, tomato slices, grated carrots, canned tuna, canned pineapple, coleslaw, plus olives and feta cheese). Ordered two different main courses with chicken, both the spiciest on the menu. The rise was well cooked, but the stir fried chilies with paprika, bamboo and basil leaves as well as the respective red curry were disappointing. Hot as they should be, but without any other aromas or flavours than the overwhelming chili. Attentive and friendly service.

I usually go there for lunch but they have a nice menu for dinner as well. They have also a vegetarian option for lunch every day. Staff is nice and very friendly!

Without exaggeration this was the best meal Iâve ever eaten. We shared several courses between three including ox cheek, duck slider and several others. Iâve never tasted anything so good. I went to Borneo for the first time after they moved to the new location. I was a fan before - I considered Borneo the best in Tampere.The new place is a huge disappointment. Gone is the cozy atmosphere with the attractive decorations. Now it looks just like a standard, faceless restaurant down the street; cold and impersonal.The food isn't as great either. Still ok, but there's too much reliance on spiciness rather than flavor. That the prices have gone up by a good 40-50% adds insult to injury.The staff are polite and friendly, no complaint there. Hygiene is also excellent, everything is spotless.But what's that worth, if the vibes are missing, the food is only ok, and the prices have gone up?Never change what works, I wish people realized that. You had something good going, it's now lost.
