Piran (Slovene pronunciation: [piˈɾáːn] ( listen); Italian: Pirano [piˈraːno]) is a town in southwestern Slovenia on the Gulf of Piran on the Adriatic Sea. It is one of the three major towns of Slovenian Istria. The town has much medieval architecture, with narrow streets and compact houses. Piran is the administrative centre of the local area and one of Slovenia's major tourist attractions. Until the mid-20th century, Italian was the dominant language, but was replaced by Slovene as demographics shifted.

We had a lunch here and it was very nice, view from our table excellent and the service was good. Its a typical tourist place, very classic but with a nice standard och quality.
We had two different pasta and it was really good. Nothing to complain about, If you want a classic place with nice food and service, this is recommendable.

The Restaurant Pavel 2 offers you a wide selection of wines and mediterranean dishes, all of them carefully prepared, using only first quality ingredients. The restaurant is placed near the sea, which makes it one of the best spots in the city thanks to its unique atmosphere.
We wanted a light and quick meal and after explaining this, soon after we received barely crumbed and very light calamari with baby octopus inside some tubes which I never eat however tried and they were delicious and a plate of grilled sardines. The wine the waiter recommended was excellent and Slovenian of course. Beautiful setting sun views in an upmarket and value for money restaurant. Good service too!

Amazing fish, we had scallops, tuna, bass and all were perfect. Greta waitress who upsold us more scallops and tiramasu and lemon sherberts effortlessly. Recommended by owner at Adriatic Hotel and he was right - five stars best meal of the trip. Complimenatry schnapps on departure always a good touch too

Delicious food and big portions. Must try all kinds of calamari ( grilled, fried, stuffed with cheese and prosciutto).the food id really good and the experienced stuff is friendly and give good advice on wine and foods. Try home wine Malvasia. Tasty white wine for summer evenings. The restaurant is on the beach but unfortunately no nice view . The place is closed all around . That is a minus. They should do something with the interior to make the place look nicer. But a must try definitely

no known website. Listed in several other on-line reviews. Perfect for Trip Advisor: Out-of-the-way fish joint with outstanding food and local ambiance, reasonable prices for a tourist town. There may be others as good in Piran, but it's hard to imagine anything better in this genre.
Just off the main street. There are a couple signs pointing to the restaurant. Scampi soup was quite tasty. Just a hint of spiciness. We also had lightly fried sea bass and ravioli with Gorgonzola. Everything good. Small family run restaurant.

Charming interior, friendly staff, best pizza in Piran! Also serves other dishes.
The full tables and number of people waiting for a table suggested a very positive experience awaited, and so it proved to be. This is no frills - simple table settings, nothing fancy, just good solid service and out-of-this world pizzas. The best of the three restaurants that we ate in while staying in Piran.

One of the best outside Seating to have a coffee or cake in Portoroz. Used to be synonym for best cakes. Maybe we are spoiled, but chocolate cake is really very average compared to what competition is offering. Unimaginative, poor in chocolate but rich in price....coffee and ice cream yes, cakes are just very average and not worth the price.

Located on the seafront, speciality seafood.. Outside Seating with roof that closes. Recommended by the very nice hostel around the corner. Atethere June 2010
I've was recommended to us while on a walking tour and it didn't disappoint.ma little bit of a wait because It was popular that night but well worth it. After the squid and mixed mussels here I kept ordering the same meals at other places but was always disappointed as they had nothing on ivo!

We had a great lunch here. It is on a small square within the lovely town of Piran not on the sea which is probably why the prices were so good. The fish was excellent, very fresh and prepared perfectly. We also had a very nice simple green salad. The service was very good, attentive and friendly. Very good value for the quality. I highly recommend this restaurant.
