unfriendly and no client service
Reviewed By Alexandra AOver the last years I have stayed at places all over France - but rarely have I experienced such horrible client service as at La Mandarine. We have booked our rooms in december for the Chorégies Orange, a wonderful open air opera spectacle. As it's quite popular rooms in proximity of Orange are difficult to get - which is why I have booked them in december already. La Mandarine requested FULL payment to guarantee the booking - usually it's 30%...we agreed as rooms were difficult to get. 2 months before the spectacle they just cancelled our reservation. When asking their help to find alternative accomodation we did not get anything. We had to cancel our tickets as we could not find any accomodation nearby. You can imagine our distress. I can not recommend La Mandarine - as they have apparently never heard anything about client service or politeness.

Reviewed By Stephanie LWe stayed one night at Dar Mona on our way through to Spain. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa as there were 5 of us. Dar Mona is set away from town up in the hills and is just a lovely property. The gardening was spectacular with lavender and olive trees. The pool area was a nice place to relax after our journey and Mona, the hostess, was kind enough to bring us teas and beers to welcome us. The villa was very clean and well furnished for the most part. However, be aware that although it states there are 2 bathrooms, there is only 1 toilet. And technically, there is only one shower since the other is a tub with a detachable shower head, but no shower curtain. Also, the only paper product provided in the villa was toilet paper. We had no napkins or tissues, which was tricky with breakfast. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all had a lovely, quiet night's sleep before getting back on the road again. Breakfast was warm croissants and bread with butter and jam, yogurts, milk and juice. Perfect! We will return!

Reviewed By 70henrivLe coin est charmant.Bâtiment en pierres. L'hôtesse nous a accoieilli à notre arrivée et nous ne l'avons pas revue. Son mari nous a fait l'addition -salée- au dernier moment. Pas de paiement par carte bancaire. Déçu par le petit déjeuner : croissants pas frais caouchouteux. Un petit pot de lait insuffisant. Pain aux graines tranché et pain brioché.Personne pour nous aider. J'aurais volontiers mangé un oeuf coque vu que les hôtes ont un élevage de poules pondeuses. Grille pain défaillant. L'assiette campagnarde composée essentiellement de crudités servie au dîner était convenable mais à un prix eccessif et le pichet de vin exorbitant. Bref...je reste sur ma faim.
