An outdoor, partially covered lakeside restaurant opposite the Regina Palace Hotel
Again, I can't reconcile our experience with the reviews here. We had one snack - savoury crepes and one lunch. On both occasions service was good and friendly. The savoury crepes were fine but hardly inspiring and could have been served hotter. Our lunch main courses, one fish and one pizza were both good portions, well presented and tasty. However, they spoilt it when we asked for a grand marnier crepe - certainly nicely presented and lots of booze but the liquid had dried out it badly needed some icecream or cream. A waste of money. One nice element is they differentiate between the food prepared fresh and that which is frozen by placing a star next to the frozen dishes on the menu.It wouldn't take a lot to lift this establishment from average to good.

Right in the centre of the piazza, this is a very busy restaurant. It has many tables under cover in the piazza and more both inside and outside the restaurant situated next to an ice cream shop. It has an extensive menu available in multiple languages. The prices are also very competitive with similar establishments. Plenty of staff and food came pretty promptly given the number of diners. Quality was very good. Booking is recommended as many potential diners were being turned away on the evening we visited right up until 10pm.

There are two places called Cafe Lago on the island, the one overlooking the lake has bad reviews, the other is opposite the market stalls and this is a review of that restaurant. Great place for a snack, many other places serving meals which is fine if that's what you are after. This place does sandwiches, rolls etc at reasonable prices, seating inside and out. Staff pleasant and helpful. Clean toilets upstairs. Music theme inside, memorabilia on all walls, posters, guitars etc it's worth going in for this alone.Thank you very much for your review!! Hopefully to see you again soon!! Greetings from the Island!

The whole vibe of the place was very chilled.Visited this place at noon to try out their "fried mars bar and icecream". However, it was not available. Some of the desserts and shakes they have on their menu are very different from what any other place would offer. Tried the kit kat shake and the mars bar shake. Both were perfect and just as per my liking. Lovely...Thank you, we are happy you enjoyed the atmosphere of our small bar and our offers specialties. Merry Christmas

Very mediocre lasagne and eggplant parmigiana. Veal cutlet milanese just ok, baked potatoes were the best part.Insultingly small size of wine servings: 100ml! It was marked on our glasses. One and a half small sips.Nice terrace on the square. Staff was polite. Wasted 39 euro. Never again.

This is a hidden gem in Stresa! It's a great little bar offering a wide range of wine, cocktails and aperitif with friendly staff and delicious nibbles. It's tiny and extremely popular with locals and tourists alike. It's standing room only during busy times with only two or three outside tables, a bar/counter and just a couple of tables inside.

This is such a great place. Whilst its not on the main square, its on the way and is absolutely fantastic. Great selection of wines, superb cocktails and all at really great prices. Always a superb selection of nibbles to go with the drinks, and outstanding friendly service. We were here almost every night, for pre and post dinner drinks.
