Delite you with a five courses meal, with a glass of wine while you admire the beauty of the gardens, and enjoy in a house considered a cultural heritage of our beautiful ciy of Quito.Chez Jérôme is the restaurant you must visit in your trip.
It is the second time I have had the same problem with this restaurant. I called to make a reservation and BOTH times my table had been "mixed up" and I was given a bad table at the entrance of the restaurant. The owner tried too hard to be apologetic about it and that only made things worse. The food was OK but not up to my expectations for the very high price and all the hype about this place. There are better restaurants in Quito that cost a lot less.

Was here with my wife, great romantic spot. Small little place, maybe 8-9 tables which for us make it a lot better. Great music.Fondue was excellent. They only had one waiter, but he manage to serve all the tables pretty good. For a couple of fondues, one cheese and one Mix of meats, a couple (2-4 ja!) glasses of wine you'll be looking at a $60 check.Parking spot is pretty small. Overall i would be back here with no doubts.

Our cooking class at Altamira was the highlight of our stay in Quito and a truly memorable way to spend an afternoon. The restaurant was in walking distance from our hotel in the historic district, so that made getting there easy. We met Chef Edwin, who has a great personality and is really well suited for teaching this type of class. We went to the local markets with him, learned about local ingredients, sampled some dishes and picked out fresh ingredients to take back to the restaurant to cook. Back at Altamira, we cooked a three-course Ecuadorian meal with Chef Edwinâs instruction. It was exquisite! I loved the experience, as itâs something you probably cannot get just wandering on your own. I felt like it gave us a window into Ecuadorian culture. Everyone at Altamira was really friendly. Also, the food we prepared was soooo good! Dear guest, thank you so much for your feed back ! Happy to hear that our cooking class makes your experience in Quito greater. We wish you the best and hope you visit us again !Lucie Besson, General Manager
