Reviewed By Jack MNo room. We arrived at the port next door by sailboat. Walked up the road and discovered the gem Hôtel Maeva U Libecciu. A family-style hotel, with activities for the kids, and adults too if you wanted. The guests are primarily (all?) French so it will help if you are comfortable with the language. Manners and dress code is Fifties retro. People sit down to eat and drink, and we spotted only two cell phones and zero laptops in the public areas. We went for at least one meal each day, and helped ourselves to the beach and pool. Dining was on the terrasse or by the pool. Try the Grosses Gambas. Two guitarists entertained one night singing Corsican folk tunes. One of our guys was allergic to cow’s milk, so he was always careful ordering coffee. When the bustling waitress dropped the drinks off, he looked at his and said, What is this? -Café-crème, m’sieur. I didn’t order Café Crème. -It’s Café au lait, for sure. Moving on. I didn’t order Cafe au lait. Back over her shoulder with a mischievous smile and a shrug. -It’s whatever you want it to be, m’sieur.

Reviewed By darrenminnsDevonNo pitches were allocated so we found a spot which was okay but not what I would really describe as a pitch (more of a parking spot). We thought that we would support the place by ordering 2 pizzas to take away. I’m not fluent in French but ordering ‘deux pizza’s Hawaiian’ was with in my ability but the server struggled with this and in the end we only got one as he mistook my order. While we were waiting my wife went to the bar and ordered a beer and 3 lemonades. The barman(I think may have been a manager) couldn’t quite understand ‘lemonade’ or ‘limonade’ and shrugged shoulders and joked with other member of staff. When the drinks arrived right across the front was written ‘lemonade!’ The restaurant and pool setting is really nice but they appeared to only have one card reader so staff had to go and get it from one another. As we left my wife went to pay and the member of staff (barman/manager?) Thought that she had pushed in so asked another camper if she was first (the camper said no). The member of staff could not find my wife’s passport anywhere so asked the other members of staff who also had not seen it. 15 minutes later it was found on the reception desk under paper work which was not secure and anyone could have taken it. Standard practice is to put passports in a safe or locked area. There was no apology or anything. We paid up and got out of their as quickly as we could. It’s almost as if the staff had just been dumped at the site and had no idea of what to do. We stayed at so many nice sites in Corsica but this was awful and not a reflection on the area or people.

Chambre ridicule de 2 métres x 2 métres soit disant précisée lors réservation. Rien de tel sur notre contrat Booking. C'est petit et sans clim. Avec salle de bains et WC communs. Chambre non nettoyée en 4 jours ni lit fait. Ça doit pas être prévu!!!! Victuailles disposée dans frigo commun disparue. On ne sait par qui. Difficile d'avoir le petit déjeuner avant 8heures. Mais en faisant le forcing on arrive à 7h30 Heureusement le patron est sympathique. Il propose chaque soir le repas pour 30€ sur réservation. Divers menus. C'est très bon. Repas sur terrasse commune.
