Italian lunch for our couple with a lovely view of the moored watercraft at Lagoon Bay. The indoor restaurant is modern with a nice atmosphere. Staff are friendly and courteous and the service is reasonably prompt. Gail chose the ravioli with spinach and ricotta with a burnt butter sauce; I chose the risotto with Italian. Both perfectly cooked and delicious. The 19th of February was Macha Budda day with a number of local restaurants closed and those that were open did not serve alcoholic drinks in observance of the day. We recommend this restaurant for itâs Italian cuisine. Dear 'paulngailb'Although we thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our restaurant it seems you might have our restaurant mistaken for another one as we do not serve lunch in Portofino, only dinner. Had an amazing meal here with my wife and 2 year old. The service was amazing, the staff really looked after us with our daughter. We had prawns cooked 2 ways, grilled octopus, noodles and Asians greens all delicious!The restaurant doesn't look fancy but was a great place to eat

This is our favorite spot so far. Been here three times and it would like to go for the 4th time. If you order two dishes with Rice and an appetizer. You have enough for 2. But the food is so good. I would order 3 dishes ;-). There coffee is also good.

I like my curries and Highway Curry is 5 minutes from where we were staying so I thought we'd give it a try, not expecting it to be as we discovered. I wanted a starter and like my onion bhaji. I hadn't had one for years so that was ordered. Then my wife ordered a starter. Little did we know that four good size freshly cooked onion bhaji's would arrive and they were really excellent. I've had overcooked greasy fried onion balls before, but this wasn't them. These were perfection personified. Hot, crispy and very tasty. My wife had a hot bread, a roti or nan and good job too. For a main course I had a lamb curry, and asked for spicy. I have no problems with Madras or spicy foods, and this was delicious. Spicy, but not palate destructive. My wife had one of the "sizzling" plates and it too was superb, and very quickly devoured. All in all an excellent choice of venue. Since eating there I have had many friends who are of the same opinion. If you want a very good curry, inexpensive but high quality, Highway Curry is a must. The staff are lovely and helpful with suggestions. Food is hot, fresh, and a lot of it. We took "doggy bags" back for our son.
