Thailand’s largest island is an international magnet for beach lovers and serious divers, who enthusiastically submerge themselves in the Andaman Sea. Blue lagoons and salmon sunsets make for a dream-like atmosphere, and indeed, a vacation here can feel a bit surreal. Watersports are the most popular activities, though once you’ve had enough sun there’s still plenty to explore at the island’s aquariums, gardens, and Buddhist temples.

I booked for 4 nights and ended up staying for 12 nights. Very comfortable and clean room and large bathroom. It was great to have a separate kitchen as I enjoy making my own meals. Perfect location for me as close to my favourite bars on Nanai Road.

Bamboo bungalow with luxury spa and waterfall, comfortable air conditioning, tv, wifi, kitchenette, balcony and large bathroom
Owning a Travel Company, I can often have higher expectations when staying at paid accommodations. Let me first start by saying that it was my daughter who chose this property during our stay in Rawai Beach. 1) Owner Ismael goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need and even drove my daughter and I (on his scooter) to town one morning. He was always willing to inform of us of great restaurants, beaches and tourist attractions. Offered to rent us a scooter, but I can’t stay in my own lane driving in Canada - didn’t want to chance it in Thailand. Tucked away off the beaten path. You are literally a 7-10 minute walk to town, restaurants and there is a sweet woman just you the road that will do your laundry at next to nothing. When you get to the Main Street there is a taxi service that will take you to any local beach. My daughter and I went to Nai Harn Beach 2 days in a row. Cost was 200 THB. Once there you will find many small shops, stores, a beautiful beach and they were setting up a night market last night as we were leaving. Breakfast is served between 8-10:30 each morning. My daughter and I are vegan and the staff made up for it with extra fresh fruits, cereal and the croissants were AMAZING! It was almost too much food for us but it was so good we ate it all everyday :) There are a couple of cats that live on site. Leone was our favourite. She spent more than one night in our hut with us on our bed ?. If you’re not a fan of cats, no worry as she will leave if you don’t allow her in. The pool is a small(ish) strip set in among lush green bamboo. My daughter swam more than I did, but great for someone wanting to do laps in the morning. It’s kept very clean and maintained daily. Okay... there are some lizards. Nobody hates reptiles more than me. The fact is, it’s the tropics and there’s no avoiding them. They are tiny and harmless. The secret is to keep the bathroom door closed as it’s located outside. You may see the odd frog as well ?. I originally booked this for 11 nights. After doing so, I booked a few days for my daughter and I to volunteer at a location close to the airport and unfortunately had to check out 5 days early or we would be doing a long commute each day. Ismael was kind enough to offer a refund for those days, but of course it was non refundable when I booked it and I wanted to honour that policy and declined. Him as his wife did a nice gesture and covered our taxi fare to our accommodations out by the airport. All in all, there is nothing I could find wrong with this property - even his flying squirrels were cute ?. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bamboo Heaven and will define it return again! Thank you Ismael for being such a wonderful host - it really is a quaint little paradise! Lisa and Tia Vancouver, BC

Smile House is a collection of one and two bedroom bungalows surrounding a large pool all set in beautifully manicured tropical gardens.
We always love to come back to this resort. It has a very good price/quality value and a very relaxing pool. The staff and Michael, the owner from Germany, are very very friendly and became my friends. The situation is nice and quiet but with the motorbike which they rent out as well you are in no time at Rawai, Nai Harn, Kata, or Karon beach.

I like these bungalows . They are clean safe and well looked after . Established rather than boutique with palm trees around the pool rather than parasols . Friendly welcoming staff and good facilities . Need to hire a scooter really to get around but beach a 20 minute walk . And a good beach too . I'll be returning .

Fantasy Hill Bungalow is located up a short driveway midway between Kata and Karon Beaches on the west coast of Phuket Island. A short 5 minute walk will take you to either of these great beaches. Leave the heat and noise of the street to enjoy our established property surrounded by mature trees. An oasis of green and quiet in a very busy resort area!
It was a very nice stay like every year:-)) The owner did a job to renovate the room to a high standard. So I have no complaints and will be back next year if I can:-)) Corona makes everyone around the world crazy, especially the media produce fear to sell... Good luck Ralf

Experience the perfect holiday at Tanamas House, private bungalows are scattered across a garden environment, providing friendly and personalized services at a moderate price.
DO NOT RECOMMEND ....They steal your things and then claim that they “can’t speak English”. Which we all know is the biggest trick in the book. Thank you for stealing over $100AUD worth of things. If you do not want your things stolen by thieves who lie- Do NOT stay here!
