We had incredible pita bread (served freshly made and still warm) and hummus followed by a traditional chicken and rice dish and great baklava for dessert. The restaurant was easy to walk to from our hotel and the servers were very helpful in walking us through the menu and helping us choose a dish. Highly recommend!

It’s hard to find wine in a Jordanian restaurant, but this wine was actually tasty and reasonably priced. Maklouba was chicken, rather than lamb, but it was good. Nice atmosphere. Wait staff were very friendly. Food was served timely. Yasser, our waiter, was especially nice to us. And there was also a nice Turkish-Lebanese waitress.

Really liked this place. It's not a typical restaurant. More like a streetfoodshop, but really liked the atmosphere. We came here a lot during our stay in Wadi Musa. The food was a lot for the price and it was delicious!

There will always be establishments like this designed to cater for tour groups. A necessity in the travel and tourism industry but resented at the same time as they are often seen pandering to the baser instincts of travellers wanting an instant “touch & go” experience of the local culture and cuisine. Quality is generally average at best as the chance of a recurring clientele is rare.
We came by here for lunch after spending the AM at amazing Petra. The set up is ‘ethnic and quaint’ with the usual sprinkling of decorative indigenous artefacts on the walls and niches. There’s plenty to eat at the buffet table, neither as varied nor creative as one would wish but at least everything was quite fresh.
A huge pan of chicken simmered in spices and colourful bell peppers outside on the open Terrace. Needless to say people made a bee line for it. It was tasty but the meat was tough and dry. We were in and out of the place in about 45 minutes; typical of tour groups heading to the next destination in a packed itinerary. Would I recommend this place? Well, under the circumstances, Yes - nothing unpleasant happened, service was acceptable, nobody had a tummy ache after and no one went away hungry.

After dinner across the street, we stopped in this sweet shop. From the moment we went in, they were giving us all sorts of samples for free! It seemed they enjoyed showing us foreigners the various types of treats they make there. We ended up buying a few items and I am convinced to this day they undercharged us even then. Stop in for some great snacks!

We had lunch here twice. It is that good. Served buffet style. Great assortment of traditional salads plus a beef dish, fish dish and jordanian chicken ( cooked in a wok outside). You have to try the bread pudding. Called Umm Ali dessert. Staff is very friendly and cant do enough to help.

Located in the Desert a few miles from Petra serving Traditional Bedouin food and hospitality
I am middle eastern and have eaten meals throughout the region and have been spoiled by some good authentic home cooking. The overall experience and food I had here was top-notch! My meal was included in the over night price -about 15-20JD (about $30).
Yes that is a bit pricey but your are getting an amazing dinner in a stunning desert setting served by an authentic Jordanian family (home cooking!)

My Mom Recipe Restaurant is specialized in traditional Jordanian food, located in the tourist area of Petra
The restaurant was able to accommodate a large group of us and prepared a set meal with lots of starters and large main courses to share. The food was good and environment is really fun- the evening finished dancing alongside the owner and other staff members!

Located along the main tourist street close to the main gate entrance of Petra and close to Movenpick hotel
Serves no alcohol but lemon /mint very refreshing
Normal Jordan starters Dips bread etc
Offer Bedouin dishes chicken lamb etc which are the best recommendations and should be tried
Charming owner and staff really wish to please
Whilst the Next door restaurant was busier this is due to the fact they serve alcohol the quality of the food they offered was quite terrible the night we tried it.
If you have a choice go to the Oriental despite lack of alcohol the experience is far far better

We were very pleased with all aspects of this restaurant it was a wonderful change from the hotel restaurants. Three Steps appetizer was very tasty as were our meals. Prices were very good.
Perhaps most importantly, service was outstanding throughout the meal. Embarrassingly, I had forgotten my wallet (not sure how) and we had to leave to get money. The owner was incredibly accommodating.
Highly recommend.
