One of my favourite pubs in Penzance especially with such welcoming, friendly & helpful staff. The quality of the food is always good & the specials board offers some interesting alternatives to the main menu. Fish & chips is recommended though it’s quite a big portion so you’ll need a big appetite! Although no garden, there are tables outside which is great for people watching and the quayside is literally across the road.

We stayed here for one night. Check in isn't till 5pm. There were five rooms separate from the pub. The room we had was really nice, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We decided to have a meal in the pub, my husband had prawn and crayfish cocktail and I have garlic prawns. For the main my husband had the local beef burger with local cheese, the chips where really nice as well. I had a beef and ale homemade pie with chips and peas, the beef was really nice. For dessert I had the chocolate brownie and ice cream and my husband had the white chocolate cheesecake, we both enjoyed our desserts. Breakfast was nice too, had a wide range to choose from. This pub/inn is in a good location if you are visiting St Michael's Mount & Marazion town.

Really enjoyed our stay until breakfast, lovely rooms with fantastic view and super location close to the ferry. At breakfast no staff turned up and we had to serve ourselves and we didn't get the cooked breakfast we were expecting. When we checked out the member of staff just shrugged and wasn't interested at all. We had to pay for another breakfast which just isn't on. Would have booked again but not sure after this. Don't expect this when you paid £200 which is a lot of money for us

Mike greeted us with a smile and we felt very welcome on entering the house. The double room was bright and clean with tea/coffee making facilities. En-suite shower was good with towels etc provided. Not every guest house offers one night stays, but Westbourne guest house was happy to have us. I can thoroughly recommend a stay here whether for one night or several. If anyone asks me where to stay in Penzance, I will be pointing them in Mike's direction.

Called into the bar with my wife and hyper Springer Spaniel whilst passing through Newlyn. The dog was greeted with a biscuit from a customer at the bar. Made to feel welcome by staff and customers. Proper friendly local pub and a good choice of ales.

The Kings Arms at Paul is one of West Cornwall’s most atmospheric pubs. With our no-fruit-machine, no satellite TV policy we have encouraged a return to old family values and quickly earned a reputation for good food and good beer in the most hospitable surroundings. We have two comfortable bars, serving well-kept St Austell Brewery real ales and a selection of good homemade food every day of the week.We are perfectly located near Mousehole on the Penwith peninsula and our five welcoming bedrooms provide the ideal base for you to explore all the delights that the area offers.
Lovely village pub. Rooms overlooking the church. Just recently under new ownership. Nice to see a place in a village that is still a good pub as well as a place to eat and stay. Seating outside is nice in the summer. Dog friendly. Accommodation is very good although the bathroom and toilet was quite small. The bed and linen were super comfortable. There is some noise from the pub below but nothing unreasonable. Breakfast is an excellent cooked option featuring locally sourced ingredients

Disliked · everything Our booking could not be found on arrival, despite being booked a month ago. (5 yes five rooms) The first room we (my wife and i) were offered had not been serviced, wet towels on floor, bed unmade, bins full. Second room offered had been serviced, and one towel left for the two of us to share. room was freezing, window would not shut, heating didnt work. no hot water. woodworking shavings all over the floor. Next day, towels were provided, and rather than cold water only, we had no water! towel rail fell down when towel put on it, still no heating. The bed itself came from noahs ark, the smallest, lumpiest, uncomfortable bed ever. the bathroom light was like an 80s disco ball, just twinkled and flashed when on. breakfast was an invitation to spend the day near a toilet, half cooked sausage, rubber eggs, cold beens/mushrooms etc etc. (apparently the chef didnt turn up for work, so the receptionist cooked) there were random pubic hairs mixed in to the peeling paintwork on the stairways, god knows how that happened. We paid £100 per night for this!! We found out later that ours was probably the best of the 5 rooms our party had booked, others had missing tvs, defunct 50s style radios, no shower, plus many more problems. This is without doubt the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. When my daughter had a problem with her room she asked to speak to the manager, she was told "he is up the road in the pub having a pint, and would maybe back later!!!!"

We stayed here in March during a trip around Cornwall. The Crown Inn was a great location to get about and explore some of the lovely places nearby and easy to drive to St.Ives. We had a wonderful stay here - the rooms were really nicely done and beds super comfortable. The staff made us feel so welcome and were so nice. We ate here during our stay and the food was delicious, especially the Steak & Ale pie! Would definitely recommend the Crown Inn and will be back ourselves to see more of the area.
