Find out what Chinese restaurants to try in West Chester. The borough of West Chester is proud of its long history of hospitality, having hosted its first visitors way back in 1769. These colonial roots still show, with over 3,000 surviving structures dating from before the Revolutionary War. The tree-lined downtown area is listed on The National Register of Historic Places, with such a large collection of Greek Revival buildings that the town was named Athens of the West. It's the perfect place for a relaxing day spent walking and window-shopping.

Whether you eat in or take out, the food is always great with generous portions! Love the Lemon chicken and scallops Mandarin style along with shrimp with snow peas. Love that you can get brown rice too! Soups are good and egg rolls too! Highly recommended!

We are still "new" to the area and occasionally find a new place to try. We were not disappointed, however, there are better places in the area. It's nearby so I'm confident we will go back. If for no other reason, we find it convenient. The service is very good therefore, I suggest you give it a try.

I did a so-so review about Umami a while back after a disappointing take-out experience but a return visit for eat-in dining turned out to be very good. Our Edamame and Lettuce Wrap starters were excellent. Our daughter and her partner raved about the Tom Yum soup, Sashimi and Red Curry while my wife and i were more than pleased with our Wonton Soup, Pineapple & Shrimp Fried Rice and Crispy Sesame Chicken. Atmosphere is pleasant and service was attentive. All in all, a good experience. Our bill for a group of 4 was $87 for a lot of food, a pretty good value. Will return!

Went for an early Sunday dinner. Interesting menu choices.Several entrees included fruits, like mango, pineapple or lemon, which is a notch above most take-out Chinese joints. There were several specials of the day that included fresh seafood. Y shrimp and scallops dish had 8 large shrimp and 6 huge tender scallops! Strip mall like setting had adequate parking and a large seating area of booths and tables. Larger groups could be easily accommodated. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was great. All 4 of us were very happy with our meals.

Went for lunch. Place is next to the Giant grocery. Warmly greeted, and promptly seated. Sushi was fresh. The green curry with tofu and the basil chicken from the main menu were notable. The rolls were average, but nicely presented.

Very good service and decent prices for your typical Asian dishes. We tried the beef with broccoli and shrimp fried rice and both were excellent. Itâs difficult finding acceptable Asian food in Chester county, so itâs a nice option to have. I definitely plan to be back and try the sushi and other dishes.

So with family visiting for Thanksgiving and because they live in an area where good Chinese food is hard to find, they wanted Chinese food when they came North. However, good Chinese food is very hard to find. I'm not talking about restaurants because I haven't been to one of those in a long while. But I'm talking about the local rush in and grab your Chinese food and take it home food. It's amazing how the quality and taste of Chinese had gone straight downhill. I moved to Claymont about 12 years ago and there was one restaurant in Wilmington but close enough to Claymont that I didn't mind going past 2 other restaurants to get to it. However, they've changed hands 3 times and now the food is absolutely horrible.Soliciting recommendations from coworkers, however, turned me on to Asuka. The food was very good although they did mess the order up. When I arrived, the young lady read my order from the receipt, however, failed to certify that what she read was actually in the bag. We ordered 2 orders of the dinner combination of General Tsao's Chicken with the chicken fried rice and egg roll, 1 order of Chicken with Garlic Sauce and 1 order of Chicken Mei Fun Noodles. I actually wanted the Singapore Style Noodles instead of the General Tsao's but as one family member was allergic to shrimp, I didn't want anything to go wrong. Well yup, they did, they gave us Singapore Style Noodles with shrimp instead of the Chicken Mei Fun, so I ended up getting the Singapore Noodles anyway. But if I was ordering them, outright, I would have asked for more sauce/gravy, whatever they want to call it because the noodles were a little dry. I actually ended up trashing most of them because they just weren't appealing. I don't think that they realize we don't like our rice and/or noodles dry. However, the Chicken with Garlic Sauce was absolutely delicious. I didn't get to taste the Chicken Fried Rice. Most fast food Asian restaurants don't prepare fried rice very well anymore. Not like restaurants did about 25 years ago. Then fried rice dishes were delicious. Now? You can't pay me to buy the fried rice. I gave Asuka a very good rating even though what we received was somewhat average; but I did this because the flavor of the Chicken with Garlic Sauce was delicious and having gotten it at my normal restaurant where the flavor was blase even though you could see the peppers in it, I decided Asuka deserve a very good rating just for that alone.
