Casual restaurant with cold beer and delicious food, in a fun and friendly environment. New ownership since 2017, come in and meet the family! Try the Mahi Tacos (a customer favorite) or enjoy one of the best burgers you'll ever eat.
I want to start with I personally like this establishment better than Towne Tavern, the quality of the food overall is better. I think TT wins out with the drinks and outdoor ambiance. I will list pros and cons compared to local brewpubs in the area (Matty's, Rusty Rail). We had a large party in here and they accomodated us with pretty good service, but food items were hit or miss, my party overall were not impressed. I will start by commenting on which items were good. Tasty items: Homemade chips Salads SandwhichesVeggie burger (thank you for accomodating vegetarians)Not so hot The pretzel bites (no salt and doughy). This needs readjusting. The french onion soup I was told was tastless. The hummus my friend kept adding salt and pepper too.The beer was not served cold or in a frosty mug- room temperature. Pros- Better menu in my opinion than next door, more variety. Thank you for accomodating vegetarians. Pool table Friendly service overall, but could be taken up a notch. ConsHit or miss menu The music is all 90s pop.Warm beer, needs more of a selection We would be back to give another try, hoping some kinks would be worked out. Thank you for your feedback, we will definitely consider your suggestions! The music is selected by our guests via the electronic jukebox, where we would encourage you to play your favorites. Warm beer isn't our style, we will keep an eye on this. We're glad you like the menu selection, we regularly attend food shows for ideas - we will continue to look for healthy and vegetarian options that fit our theme/identity. Thanks again.

After driving all day, we stopped at the Country Cupboard Inn but we did not find the attached buffet restaurant very appetizing on an early Sunday night. At $23 per person, you better like it!So, we found that there was an Applebeeâs a short walk away beside the Hampton Inn. The service was very friendly and quick. My wife had the all you can eat riblets- and there was enough on the plate that she didnât want seconds. I had a very good French onion soup and Caesar salad. And the bill for the two of us was roughly the same as a buffet for one at the Country Cupboard.Exactly what we wanted.

We stopped in Saturday around noon for a drink before heading up through town to check out the ice sculptures during the Lewisburg Ice Festival. When we walked in to the bar area it was packed and we were lucky enough to find two bar stools at the end of the bar. Our bartender was with us within minutes and took our drink order, drinks arrived within minutes. Bar area is a little tight, but we have been in smaller places. And yes, our barmaid was very pleasant....

Because it's the logo of a draft house that would be among the best in any community, not only a smaller town like Lewisburg. Let me count the reasons.First--a nice facility. Lewisburg has kept the early 20th century buildings in its center, and the interior reno on this one is so smart--a nice bar, comfy tables, an acoustic-material high ceiling that keeps the noise to a reasonable level so that lingering and conversing and having a few more is not a challenge. Tasteful appoointments like an old-style genuine Italian espresso machine (non-working), tiffany-style lighting, woodwork on the walls.Second--bar food that's a cut above. My wife had shrimp alfredo and loved it. Mine was their fish tacos, and oh my, a perfect portion of fish, red cabbage, a dominant cilantro, just the right amount for the corn tortilla. The star was our guacamole appetizer, which is made at tableside--freshness for guac is not negotiable, and this was a just-right blend of perfectly ripe avocado, lime juice, tomato, and cilantro, servred with the proper number of good tortilla chips.Third--the beer selection. You get to choose from a carefully curated selection of outstanding regional Pennsylvania brews and some national ones. We started with a tasting flight of 3 IPAs and a Porter--my wife who normally doesn't like Porter was pleased with it, and the IPAs which are her normal preference were all superb, we followed up with a 12 ounce of the double-rainbow.Fourth--and best for last--service. Robert took excellent care of us. Have you had a server who got your confidence in the first minute? We told him to select the four beerrs for our tasting flight, noting only that my wife prefers a good IPA and I'll drink anything--and his choices were impeccable. The rest of his duties were discharged with skill and precision. The man made our evening.I guess the best conclusion I can make is to note that my wife wondered aloud if we might move here. I later asked, if we did, how many times a week would we be either at Smiling Chameleon or the Fero Winery. There is a LOT of quality in this town!

We went here on a Saturday evening to celebrate my sisterâs birthday. We started with a few tapas, all of them extremely underwhelming. The shrimp and pickled vegetables was horrible - shrimp tasted rotten and was very fishy smelling. My sister got the butternut squash bisque and it was also nearly inedible. It had absolutely no flavor - and thatâs hard to do with squash bisque. We split the 1/2 chicken entree for our main course and it was far from what was expected. It was two chicken legs, not an actual half chicken like you would expect from the description. The only thing our group enjoyed was the burger. This is the second time weâve been here and we will not come back. Would not recommend.

Location right in the center of this historic town. Neighborhood and building seems very historic and is interior is extremely cozy. Tables by fireplace are best, cozy but good view of game on the flat-screens behind the bar. We went twice because my Reuben with "housebrined corned beef" was so unusual and delicious. I think best Reuben ever. Everyone else loved their meal too.Thank you AFamilyAdventurer for your excellent 5 star review. How incredibly flattering of you to make positive note of our cozy atmosphere, excellent food and historic location. We strive to keep great customers like you coming back again and again. Thanks!!

We were staying in the Best Western Country Cupboard, so we just walked a short distance thru the parking lot and we were there. A recent storm had knocked out some of the power in the restaurant, but they were handling everything quite well. It is a spacious place with tiered seating down to the front wall with TV's everywhere. There is a nice oval bar as you walk in with high tops around it. My pork BBQ sandwich was loaded high with a good sauce and the in house chips were very good. You never know what you are going to get restaurant to restaurant because for some reason a lot of them can't seen to make them very well, and these were good. My wife liked her salad with salmon and our waitress was very friendly and efficient. We would definitey come back to Matty's if in the area again.
