Although this place is right next door to Wal Mart, it can be easy to miss and drive right by it. But, if you do turn around and go back. This summertime outdoor diner is excellent and a great value as well. For around seven bucks you get a footlong Smith's hot dog, a large order of their delicious fries, and a soda. The footlong is like eating two hot dogs in one, so it's virtually impossible to leave this place hungry.They provide somewhat secluded outdoor seating on a variety of round and conventional picnic tables, some of which have umbrellas. The only drawback is that when it gets crowded it can be a challenge finding a place to sit with a group. A few additional tables would be a nice improvement.

You won't believe the quality of the food at this place. You would think you were eating at a fine restaurant in a major / large city. The presentation, quality of the items and taste were simply excellent. I have eaten there very year for several years due the fact that I do business in Meadville one week each year. It's the place to eat for excellent food in Meadville, PA.

We were in Meadville for my wife's high school reunion and needed a place for dinner and our B&B owner recommended the Chop House. We were not dissapointed! I had the salmon on cedar plank with salad and sweet potato fries. The salmon was delicious thick filet that arrived on a flaming cedar plank. It went perfectly with the glass of house pinot grigio. My wife had a beautiful thick pork chop flame broiled and encrusted with black pepper and a salad and grilled asparagus. The chop was very tender and she love the pepper. It added a real surprise flavor. There are very few places to dine out in Meadville and Canons Chop House was a pleasant surprise.

The food was so so. The atmosphere was nothing I would write home about. It was almost like being in a concrete garage with a few tables and chairs randomly put anywhere. Very dark and the food was way over priced.8.00 for a hamburger. Anyway the had live so called music and the one man band could't even carry a tune. Would not go back.

We have recently taken our grandkids to this subway. The food was good , the atmosphere, was very nice. The service was outstanding ! There was a very nice young man there that seemed to be full of life and happiness and he let it show in his job. It was refreshing to be waited on by someone that didn't seem to hate his job. It makes a big difference and you feel welcome.

Pros: inexpensive, large portions, friendly staffCons: noisy, crowded, no hostess to seat you, long wait time for food, food was warm (not hot)Overall an OK breakfast choice for the area around Conneaut Lake. Obviously by the crowd, a popular place for locals and vacationers. We just prefer higher quality.
