The city of Meadville is the principal city of the Meadville, PA Micropolitan Statistical Area. As a generally positive and optimistic person, I rarely write negative reviews. However it just needs to be done. First impression, the hostess was indifferent or poorly trained. She was helping a server ring up a bill, which is not a problem. But her job is to be welcoming. We understand there can be delays, her attitude was to treat us an inconvenience.The food was mediocre, at best. We stuck with traditional Italian American favorites such as Lasagne, Pizza, and Eggplant Parmesan. The first was the best of the three. The, too abundant, pizza sauce was barely beyond canned tomato paste and there were far too many toppings. Pizza is not a casserole on a crust. Perhaps it was to hide the poor quality of sauce. The eggplant in in the meager portion of the entree was old and rubbery. That dish was accompanied by what seemed like a triple portion of barely sauced, way overcooked angel hair pasta. My husband and I have been here other times and had similar experiences. It occurred to us that this place couldn't be this popular or we were just ordering the "wrong" menu items. We've eaten Italian food in many countries, including Italy where my husband lived for two years. Three meals and a bottle of Chianti, with no appetizers or desserts came to over $100 with tip. Our waitress, Melissa, did a good job. There is much better Italian food a short drive away in Conneaut Lake.I'm so sorry that we've disappointed you on not just your most recent visit but on previous ones as well. We do strive to have great food and service and Iapologize that we've been so unsuccessful! I will be sure that the Chef reviews your comments and addresses them with his staff. Pizza sauce/spaghetti sauce tasted and looked just like tomato soup. Not traditional sauce and something I don't care to experience again. Yuck

Have eaten there many times. Great Italian food, subs, pizza, and wedges all made and served with their own fresh baked bread. Always a large portion with all the fresh bread you want. When I have the spaghetti I always take what I can't eat home, better the next day. Italian style atmosphere. Servers alway polite and efficient. Prices very reasonable. Wait time average.

Very good food, and the atmosphere is not too bad. The tables could be spaced out a little more, but the service was also pretty good.
