Haven't had such a good gyro in years! Make that a GREAT gyro. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed her felafel sandwich, and we shared a Greek salad that was loaded with terrific feta, tasty Greek olives and stuffed grape leaves. This place - all right, it's a food truck in a run-down Kmart parking lot - is a real find, and only a minute or so from I-81. Thanks to other Trip Advisor posters for the tip on a perfect lunch stop along our 500-mile drive from Harrisonburg, VA to Schenectady, NY.

Sheetz is a chain of gas stations and markets. The markets are much bigger than just a little convenience store, with small freshly made food counter. Order by computer, fast food, sandwiches, burgers, etc. They carry a full line of everything you really do not need but will buy anyway. Lots of comfort foods, mags, newspapers, lottery, etc. It really is a convenient set up, buy your gas and shop all at the same time. Only one step up to the door, so wheelchair accessible.

Service is great and super quick. The hot dogs are average. I had mine with chili which was just ok.

Abe's has been a popular lunch spot in Wilkes-Barre as long as I can remember. I stopped in a few days ago and nothing has changed... and that's a good thing..!! The same guy has been making the dogs since I was a kid. The hot dogs are very good. I like my dogs with everything a bag of Middleswarth chips and a coke. Everything at Abe's means chili, mustard and onions. They have counter seats and a few tables. The service is great, the food is good and the prices are excellent. This is true Old School Wilkes-Barre.
