We love Mexican food, and while in Hazleton, we had to look and see what was out there. Notably, Hazleton isn't the food mecca of the world, but the highest rated Mexican restaurant was El Mariachi. It was rated #13, with Perkins and a Chinese buffet restaurant rated higher. With hesitation, we tried it anyway. This is the model for why you don't always go with your first instinct. The food was phenomenal, the prices very, very reasonable and the portion sizes incredible. The only negative was the area where the restaurant is located, but once you get past that (which will take some effort), it's all uphill from there. We will definitely be back, maybe even mañana!!! I hearby elicit Hazleton Foodies to go, eat and enjoy, and get the Trip Advisor rating where it belongs....#1 would be about right!!!

Oh, how I wish I had this truck in my backyard!! We went to their food truck along i80 and were so very pleased. We had hoped to be able to stop by again when traveling in the area. However, we had to get off at an exit or two beforehand. When looking at their site I noticed they had a new location. It was right along our route!!! Woo-hoo!! It wasn't listed on TripAdvisor yet and it only said that it was at the Humboldt Industrial Park, which is a huge area. Though it took a few minutes and a phone call to find, we found it!! And, it exceeded every expectation!!!!It was so delicious that my mouth waters just thinking about it! Being in the NYC area we are used to great fare from all over, however, nothing I have ever encountered in NYC or surrounding areas has ever compared! Again, oh I wish they had a truck in my backyard!!!We had a burrito, tacos and vegetarian tamales. The tamales and tacos were flippin incredible! I didn't eat the burrito so I don't know how delectable it was with the exception of hearing that it was phenomenal. If you have a chance to enjoy the genius of what this food truck has to offer, take it!!There is a picnic table to sit and eat. And if there isn't enough room, there's more seating next to the subway less than a block away. The hot sauce is fairly hot so watch out if you aren't accustomed to spiciness. Maybe go for medium or mild. The woman working the truck the day we stopped in was kind and friendly. We certainly appreciated her and everything that this truck and service has to offer!This is so much better than fast food and most all restaurants. I highly encourage that you stop in for a bite when you can. You won't regret it!!! And, I suspect that you'll be bank for me! Oh, did I mention that it's cheap too!!??

There's a small Mexican restaurant that recently opened by the Wiltsie center. They only have take out. I didn't see any seats or tables. I got the steak burrito. It came with a small portion of Spanish rice & refried beans. The burrito was large & had a good flavor but I think I'll avoid the steak & get ground beef or chicken next time. The steak had a little too many fatty pieces for my taste. I will go back here.
