We eat here often for breakfast or lunch. Best waffles around and love their turkey sausage. Their Eggs are from a local farm. Great diner food, quality food at affordable price. Love their burgers and curly fries and coleslaw. Staff is friendly and it feels like home.

Returning from having my car serviced at North Penn Mazda, I ran into a downpour. I pulled into a tiny strip mall and discovered a tiny diner. Unlike most standalone diners at this time in the morning there were few cars parked nearby. I hadn't eaten breakfast so I thought I'd take a chance. After seating myself, a 9-year old girl approached and asked if I cared for anything to drink. Without checking the menu, I ordered a glass of orange juice. This was quickly served in a 16-ounce glass. This is what I get for not ordering a small or medium which typically go for $2.50-2.95 in most diners, I figured I was gonna get rocked for $3.75-4.00. After checking the menu, I saw they served only one size for $2.45... Not bad at all. I ordered my typical breakfast, 3 eggs over easy, bacon (crisp) home fries (crisp) and rye toast with butter. $6.49 with the extra egg. A group of four left the restaurant just as I was entering which left me by myself so I expected my order in 5 or 6 minutes. I waited nearly 15 minutes, but made use of the time scanning the lunch/dinner menu. Like most diners, it was pretty extensive, but the prices were about 15-20% more reasonable. When my breakfast arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. Four strips of crispy bacon, half a plate of crisp home fries and two pieces of well-buttered rye toast. The main event, partially covered by everything else, were three perfectly fried eggs. They had to be at least extra large with a great yolk to white ratio... perfect for dipping bacon and toast with plenty of yolk left over to mix with remaining home fries. Can't wait to take my car back for its 10,000 mile service check although, if I'm in the area anytime sooner, I'll probably stop by for lunch.

This small chain of family restaurants shifts ownership again as of April 1. The menu has been stripped of the lite meals and senior specials. Now there is the smaller menu with simpler choices. But what of their standards? The salad bar at Michael's with Greek accents has been a nice perk with entrees and specials. Smaller choices around the salad bar today . The olives and stuffed grape leaves remain but there seems few choices of salads other than greens with dressing , cucumbers and beets. WE chose the grilled pork chops ( $12.99) and the broiled crab cakes ( $13.99) each coming with either soup or salad bar, vegetables or pasta. NO beverage or small desert included as in the past. The pork chops arrived so overcooked that the steak knife could not make a cut into them. The waitress Kelly was genuinely helpful and went to get another order. These "shoe leather" pork chops should not have left a good kitchen. The second order arrived swimming in grease but were hot and not overcooked. The regular table knife could cut through them The only vegetable offered other than potatoes was a mix of cauliflower, carrots and broccoli. This was a small saucer with about 5 pieces of those vegetables. Not so great. Not fresh but frozen reheated. One of us chose the pasta as vegetable alternative. The spaghetti was luke warm with less than a teaspoon of red sauce for a large cup of pasta. Kelly again volunteered to get a side of pasta sauce for the spaghetti. To our surprise a tomato soup thin sauce on a saucer arrived This watery sauce seemed to warm the cool spaghetti. The crab cakes were large and broiled with nice crisp top edges. They were flavorful although with much filler to make them so big. WE found we had a two course meal of entree and salad bar that wasn't so pleasing The floor around us was long overdue for a cleaning. The restroom needed some cleanup also it does not predict that the new owners have their act together and did not compare well with the past organization.
