Had breakfast at this place. The order was large, cooked just right and the strawberry crates where very good. The crates where a little bit over microwaved. Restroom clean. Huge booths, they also have tables. Waitress very efficient and pleasant. I will go back again. Would like to go back and have lunch or dinner. 9pm till closing half price appetizers. The homemade sandwiches look very good.

This was only about a mile from the arena, we stopped for lunch. A couple foot longs, tuna, italian, and cheesesteak subs, plus an order of pierogies and soda for 6 was about $40, everything was fresh and everyone left happy. Deli style restaurant with a medium-sized dining room, friendly staff and plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend it.

I am so sorry to say that the quality of the hoagies at S & J Deli in Ashley, PA has gone down hill drastically over the past year or so. At one point in time I would have rated this deli top of the heap for the entire Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area--Not Today! We ordered two full size subs/hoagies today for pick up and brought them home directly. I knew as soon as I opened my sub that something was not right; the sub had the odor of old wilted produce. The lettuce was quite visibly wilted--definitely not crisp at all and it smelled like the old produce one sees in a grocery store clean up bin slated for the garbage. The lettuce was also chopped so finely that it was falling off all over the place. The tomatoes were soggy and the bun was stale to the point of being crumbly. Since we have already given this deli "plenty of one more chances" to do it like they used to, I doubt very much that we will be returning ever again. Whether it be a sub or a full fledged dinner, we consider dining out a luxury. This meal was a waste of our hard earned money.
