First time we ever tried this place. I wasn't impressed. Nice to know that they deliver. not sure if we will go back. It took 1hr 10mins to get our food. They r more interested in the big parties at the tables. Food was ok

We have been going here for sometime now, and I keep saying never again. My wife generally enjoys their teriyaki chicken, so I go. For about the last year, the frequency of our visits has declined significantly, and this is due to the owner and her utter disregard of the customers in the dining room. Her husband is the opposite: gregarious, friendly, and really attentive to customers. The wife however is a sour pussed, in attentive, nasty attitude harpy. I have seen her talk on the phone, and treat her wait staff as if they were indentured servants for an entire dinner rush. Recently, she had a couple of children, the oldest of which I would peg at three or thereabouts. I've found it's a pretty common practice for Chinese restaurants to have the whole family in the place, however this lady lets hers run wild. The grandmother is generally watching the kid from a booth in the corner (this is not a large place, I believe there are six booths total. Tonight, the child was screaming because they would not let him have a toy. Fine, I get that kids will act out occasionally... They are kids... This has been the case nearly every time we have visited in recent months however. A few months ago, I took to calling the place diaper taste, because they were changing the child's diapers in the restaurant. Disposable diapers have a powdery smell that lingers, and again... I understand it is part and parcel of a child, but it does not belong in the dining room where there are paying guests.Enough of a rant. The food here is actually decent, the sushi is left to sit on the counter a bit longer than I would prefer, as the owner cannot be bothered to help the harried wait staff... Her phone conversation is more important. The wait staff... Try and be nice to them if you go... I can only imagine the harpy and her evil mother are berating them at every step... When those two are working the general atmosphere of the place is one of a gulag... Very different from when the husband is running the front of the store.Bottom line for me is that I am done with this place. Chinese restaurants, like the ubiquitous pizza joints are everywhere in this area. I do not need to go somewhere where the customer is treated as if their wishes have no bearing.

I've had Chinese from NYC to LA to Dallas and Chicago. Joy Inn is the best outside of NYC, I've ever had. So far I've had General Tso's Chicken, all the Lo Meins, Hunan Beef, and as well as the soups ans egg rolls. It is always fresh made and tastes great. As much as I love the food, the people are just as good. After only two visits there was a recognition on the part of the hostess that I was back again-that's so rare. After I called in an order for pick up and gave my name, she has greeted me by name ever since. I do so hope that if you're looking for Chinese, you give these guys a try. I think you'll keep coming back like me. Arlington-Pennsburg
