Reviews on Cafe food in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States. With a long history dating back to before the American Revolution, it's not a surprise that Carlisle is full of historic treasures, including a church once attended by George Washington and a courthouse damaged by artillery during the Civil War. Despite this impressive heritage, the city is most famous for being Pennsylvania's "automotive capital," hosting ten annual car, truck, and motorcycle shows that are attended by a half a million people each year.

Our vision for Spoons was to create a unique, farm-to-table dining experience by cutting the chemicals, not the portions and taking itno consideration those who have dietary restrictions or simply want healthy options. Six homemade soups daily made comple
Looking for a local place to get soup on a rainy day and stumbled on Spoons! Saw the great reviews and Iâm kicking myself for not trying it sooner!!! My husband and I ordered a flight of soup and sandwiches. Craft sodas were a surprising treat! Super fast and friendly service. We each got The Wilbur- piled high with thin sliced ham, crisp coleslaw, thousand island and Swiss. So very good! I really appreciate the thin sliced ham- I just think it makes a sandwich taste so much better!!! All of the meats are smoked and sliced on site and you can taste the freshness. The soups were delicious and homemade too. The owner even stopped by to make sure we enjoyed it and thanked us for stopping. A really nice touch! A highly recommend it and will definitely be going back!

Mediterranean-inspired soups, salads, and sandwiches that are healthy, unique, and almost all house-made. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, too!
Had heard from a friend that it was good so stopped in for breakfast. We identified ourselves as first timers but no "welcome, glad your here!". Food was decent but the avocado toast was a very small portion and the croissant sandwich was average and nothing else on the plate. A small serving of fresh fruit would have been a nice addition. Never thanked for coming in or asked how we liked the food. There was only 1 other table at the time.Hello! Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience at Grazery was not what we would have liked it to be. Our servers are usually very welcoming, but apparently this time there was an oversight on their part that we will address. As for the food, the avocado toast is well-sized for its price, but there are options to add sides to all dishes, as well.
Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Sweet dessert pies from the past. Hot dinner pies for your family tonight without all the mess.
This was my first time to this restaurant located in downtown Carlisle. I had not stopped in before because I thought they only serve dessert however a business colleague said they have other offerings such as pot pies and sandwiches which evolved on the menu over time. Note that they are closed Mondayâs and at 8:00pm on other nights. My order was the Reuben special ($9) and the Chicken Pot Pie ($8.50). The Reuben is served on grilled marbled rye with freshly baked corned beef brisket, fresh sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, 1000 Island dressing, chips and pickle. What I Liked:- They use a in house baked beef brisket product not a commercial beef round product which is difficult to find when dining out. Most people do not know there is a âyugeâ difference in the quality and cost between brisket and round.- I enjoyed both the Reuben and the chicken pot pie. Fresh was the word! What I Did Not Like:- They use marbled rye instead of just rye. It was explained to me that marbled rye is what the locals crave so when in Carlisle marble it is!- I did not receive the chips that were supposed to come with the ReubenMy overall rating placed this restaurant at #38 of the 118 restaurants I have eaten at in the Carlisle area since February 2019. They should consider making a Reuben pie!
