The population was 4,091 at the 2010 census, down from 4,353 at the 2000 census. Included within the township's boundaries are the communities of Essington and Lester. Been here multiple times and if your ever in the Ridley Park you need to come and check out the "Joe Beef". Completely crazy hot roast beef sandwich with provolone cheese and horse radish. A bit of a seedy place but completely safe and a must try for lunch. I love their sandwiches and it's across the street from possibly the greatest cheese steaks ever. I am looking forward to my next visit.

No pic this time but the food was typical except the salad seemed to have shrunken over the years and it appeared to have been thrown together in haste. Nevertheless I ate it and the wings were pretty good as usual. No complaints about the service.

I ended up in the Renaissance Hotel because of a canceled flight. The hotel itself is fine, but the restaurant... yikes âStart with the surly woman who *might* have been a hostess, and did bring me a menu, but clearly doesnât like her job. Dinner on this Sunday evening was in the bar only, which was quickly taken over by noisy football fans (to be fair, where else did they have to go?). Service, by a friendly, well-meaning, overworked young fellow on his first weekend in the job, was disorganized at best. The cooking was slow but, yâknow, when the food finally reached the table it was, ummm... awful.For a tired traveler without a car, itâs either Dorseyâs or eat your own snacks from home. On the whole, Iâd advise doing the latter...

Having heard raves reviews from friends regarding this restaurant, we took our chances on a late Sunday afternoon. We had a problem finding the actual site but after finally finding our way through the winding lanes, we were quite pleasedâright on the scenic Delaware across from the Philadelphia Airport. The elegantly decorated restaurant was fullâindoors and outdoors. The indoor dining room noise level was almost deafening so we opted for the outside veranda on this beautiful, but very warm evening. While waiting for our dinner, we were entertained by a soloist with accompaniment and the arriving planes--within minutes of each other, that strangely enough were barely heard. For dinner, we shared a rather large tomato caprese as a starter. My crab cake was full of lump crab meat. My companionâs crabby delight was a mélange of seafood. We enjoyed both. The upcharge on the wine was steep but our Sauvignon blanc was worth it. All topped off by sharing a slice of key lime pie for dessert. The restaurant had adequate parking despite the crowd that evening. Try it--youâll like it.

This multi level bar/restaurant is a great neighborhood spot. The food is always tasty with large portions. There is always a good beer selection on tap, and the staff is attentive and friendly. They have good happy hours with good food and drink specials, with very good wings and nachos.

JD's Seafood Medally and the Shrimp Diavalo White Pizza were outstanding. Wednesday is all you can eat crab which looked great. When overnighting for a flight in PHL this is a great stop.

Arden was our server and she was very sweet and very attentive. Four of us dined. We started with raw clams and stuffed clams which were very good. Entrees were stuffed surf and turf and baked stuffed shrimp. All was great. Will be back on my next trip back home to Philly.

Late night dinner, was thankful it was open but Food (chicken sandwich , flat bread, chef salad) was just ok/decent. Red headed Waitress/Bartender very disinterested in serving us despite it not being crowded. Waitress took forever and walked by us several times ignoring me to serve other bar patrons. Wonât return.

Stopped in for something to eat and drink before our flight. The bartender was immediately friendly and the owner even came over to introduce himself. For first timers we were made to feel totally welcome. We had a few beers and one of the best steak sandwiches we've ever had. It's all about the roll !!! We will now make this bar a "must stop" on all our trips.
