Very little atmosphere when you walk in but that is soon forgotten when the mains arrive. Salads are pedestrian with lots of iceberg lettuce and those awful canned black olives. Who likes these anyway. The mains more than made up for the rest. Excellent sauces in their pasta dishes and portions are humongous.

Local family run Italian Restaurant specializing in traditional Italian Cuisine as well as homemade pizza and sandwiches
I enjoyed this place. Their chicken parmigiana was very crispy and their tomato sauce was flavorful. I also really enjoyed the laid back and quiet atmosphere and the staff was incredibly attentie and friendly. Going for lunch, I wasn't sure what to expect, but their lunch menu includes a lot of popular options and the portions are very good. I would definitely go back.

This is a family-owned pizza parlor (according to the sign, in business for 50 years). Centrally located in Scranton near all the major hotels downtown. This is not fancy or new-cuisine pizza, but the type of place you might remember from your childhood 30 years ago. The pizza is very good, reasonably priced and the service was very good and the people were friendly. Based upon the number of people picking up for take-out, it clearly is popular with the locals. There are about a dozen tables, but seemed like most customers were getting take out. The also have subs on the menu, but we ordered pizza. Crust is not too thick or think, good sauce and the usual choices of toppings which they put on generously. A variety of non-alcoholic drinks (bottles and the usual self-serve soda machine).Thank you so much. We are glad you enjoyed our pizza. Come back soon! It's great customers like you that make our 50 years in business enjoyable.

An Italian eatery tucked in downtown, unprepossessing exterior, but good food and lots of it! Wait staff were very pleasant. Large selection of choices, extensive menu. Service was pretty quick and attentive. Very reasonable prices, couldnt believe the tab was only $18 for 2 people! We even had leftovers which we ate the next day. Try their hoagies, they are made on the softest bread and they certainly do not skimp on ingredients. Their booths are pretty big, so lots of room to scoot around in. Well kept interior.

Maroni's Square Pizza is consistently delicious. It has a unique cheese and sauce that's different from other pizza in the area. The staff is very friendly and it's run by nice local people. They have tables and offer take out too. They also have round pizza and hoagies. Go prepared it's cash only and they do not have an ATM. If you haven't had Maroni's you have to try it..!

We ate here mainly because it was close to our hotel. The food sounded good after a day of travel. I had a beer, which they brew, that was good. The waiter was polite and pleasant. The best menu item we ordered was the adult grilled cheese. The stuffed shells were good as was the pizza. It was a nice spot for a family to eat.

We had a lunch here while in town on business and enjoyed it quite a bit. Service was fast and the staff friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was very clean. They have a nice varied menu and a well stocked bar. Prices are definitely fair.

Visiting our son at University of Scranton who insisted we eat here. Great choice for reasonably mid-priced dinner from the delicious 3 super sized meatballs and whipped ricotta & chips to the entrees which included 2 daily specials - chopped entree salad and the pesto/ bay scallops/ linguine. The 1/4 roast chicken & vegetables hit the mark as well which was accompanied with a strawberry spinach salad. Finally we shared an delicious home made brownie (has nuts) with vanilla gelato. Note- only a few light salad selections to choose from to eat healthy

My family and I were heading through Scranton and were looking for Italian. We came across this restaurant and the food was amazing, the portions were large. The garlicky Zeppole (garlic dough) was to die for. We will definitely eat at this place again while traveling.Jason F.. thank you so much for stopping by on your way through Scranton. The Trip Advisor community has always been very kind to us, which encourages folks like you to stop by. I am happy you enjoyed the food. The garlic zeppole is by far the number 1 appetizer on the menu, I'm glad you liked it. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Darryl
