The chief and I love this place. The food is upscale italian and for a local place, it is outstanding. Itâs a byob. The waitstaff are professional and friendly. It has table cloths and is very lovely inside. The salads are huge. I love the spinach gnocchi with ground veal, the fish specials, the veal chop, and the chief loves the lagastinos, ravioli and the mussels. It does get loud on weekends so we always go during the week. Closed Mondayâs.

Pluses: Great piano player, comfortable dining room, good menu.Minuses: (1) I had to call 3 times to speak to someone about reservation. No call-back despite promise on answering machine. (2) Service very slow. Entree arrived about 1 1/2 ours after we were seated. (3) Waitress inattentive. Had to ask 3 times for bread and twice for bread refill. (4) Fish in seafood combo was dry & tasteless. (5) Waitress hovered after bringing check.

We've eaten here a few times and it is consistently very good. I could not believe how generous the portions are! The Eggplant parm serving was huge - was enough for 2 meals. The service was also very good. Last night I asked if it was possible to have a pesto sauce on the angel hair and it was delicious!! It is BYOB for wine. Very casual and family friendly.

We stopped at Meglio's for lunch. What we discovered was a hidden gem that we passed along the road and only now were lucky enough to find. Their servers are delightful and the food is delicious. The italian food menu offers traditional dishes and the mexican menu is authentic. Make sure you give this unique restaurant a try when you're in town.

We came here to celebrate friendâs birthday. The restaurant itself is a small family style establishment with European atmosphere. All food was delicious. We all ordered different things and all were amazed at the food quality and taste. My personal favorites were: carrot crab bisque and filet al funghi fettuccine.I would recommend this restaurant for small family events and just a night out with friends

Acqua e Farina Wood-Fired Neapolitan pizzeria has been found by Anna and Pasquale, owners of Vecchia Osteria ,well known Italian restaurant in Newtown. Acqua e Farina, family runned authentic pizzeria Napoletana, offer the freshest ingredient like San Mar
Tried this restaurant because of the reviews. First of all, very small place, but crowded (thought that was a good sign). Parking bad, rushed through dinner. We had 2 personal pizzas, 2 sodas & the meatball appetizer for a whopping $50. The pizza was mostly crust, the sauce & cheese were about 2 inches from the sides & sauce was acidic (weâve eaten Neapolitan pizza before). The meatballs were $14 for 2 (generous size), reviews said 3. Very little amount of ricotta & mozzarella inside, plus cold inside (maybe frozen & reheated) & 3 pieces of grizzle (ugh!). Donât know why they got such high reviews!?!?As our background is Italian, our grandmothers would be appalled!

Family Style Italian Kitchen..Located in a renovated historic barn, creating a rustic ambiance that is both warm in the winter, and cool in the summer...Perfect for families, date nights, business dinners, or special occasions...Off premise catering also
This was our second visit and this time was even better! The food is top quality and the service is just as good. We dined on a Saturday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The only negative was that it was quite noisy because it was very crowded. To start our meal, we had roasted squash with sausage. This was a nightly special so it may not be available, but it was excellent. For the main course, my wife had the butterflied veal parmigiana, which took up the entire plate. The homemade sauce and tender veal were great. I had veal saltimbocca which was also very good. For dessert we had limoncello in a flute glass. The waiter knew it was our anniversary so he added candles which was very thoughtful. If you are looking for some excellent Italian food and service in Newtown, you must give it a try. You wonât be disappointed.

weâve been here many times and every time is consistently wonderful! the ambiance is cozy and relaxing and beautiful ..... the food is out of this world delicious, fresh, new and inventive dishes all the time plus the traditional ones you always expect at a fine Italian restaurant ...... Pasquale and Anna, the owners, are committed to making everyone who comes in have an unforgettable experience ...... last night we had scallops and shrimp with a garlicky white wine sauce over a very thin spaghetti, created by Anna, just an amazing chef ..... beyond delicious! Pasquale himself seated us and blends right in with the staff making sure the evening is going smoothly for all guests ...... a âmust goâ experience in Newtown, PA
