We are an Italian Market that serves 2 Home-style dinners daily for take-out only. We also have made to order subs and hot and cold sandwiches, House-made soups and a variety of deli salads and garden salads available each day.
Alto Markets has a wide variety of imported Italian olive oils, vinegars, pastas, olives, meats and cheeses. They serve dinners M-F 4-7pm for take out only... and everything Iâve had has been delicious! They have a full deli and also serve sandwiches and fresh made subs daily for take out, as well. Lots of Italian treats too from pizzelles to biscotti to tiramisu and cannoli... this place is a must and you will keep coming back!
Staying overnight in Altoona before canoeing and staying in a cabin at Canoe Creek Lake, and needed a place to eat. Found the Italian Grill on T A, and decided to try it. We are glad we did! It's a little difficult to find, located about 100 feet off of 6th Avenue. You can see the "Italian Grill" sign from 6th Ave. The restaurant is located in a house in a residential neighborhood. The dining room had real cloth tablecloths and napkins. Sparkling clean. Family owned and run - mom makes the desserts and they are not to be missed! Salad, entrees and desserts prepared perfectly. Full bar. highly recommended and would return!

We stopped by and ordered a pizza to take home as we've heard several folks tell us it's their favorite pizza in Altoona. Got it home and it was okay, but there's much better in Altoona. Maybe had we ate there when it was hot and fresh, but at home it was somewhat soggy and didn't reheat well.May stop in for lasagna or another dish to see how it travels, but wouldn't return for the pizza.

We went to dinner with another local couple, at their suggestion. The staff was wonderful. It is not a formal place, but they are very friendly and professional. The food was excellent with good size portions. Everything was well prepared and very fresh. They do not sell any alcohol, but they are BYOB.

Have been to Olive Garden's in different locations and have almost always been pleased. This location is certainly one of the best that we have ever been to. The service by Spencer was certainly exceptional. He was very attentive and knowledgeable, showing great courtesy. The food was wonderful and very generous portions. I had the soup and it was certainly the hotest temperature ever - usually I receive barely warm soup - this was a real pleasure. My wife and son had the salad with their meals and both reported it to be the best ever at an Olive Garden. Entrees were served hot and at the proper time interval. Very clean interior and restrooms. Convenient parking. Will certainly return and fully recommend this location.

We stopped in here for a Sunday Afternoon Lunch. Our waitress, was very interesting to say the least. She took our orders, and brought our drinks. She couldnt even remember who ordered what drink when she brought them back, there was 4 of us, and we were the only patrons there, besides 2 other people. While waiting for our food, someone outside was walking a Raccoon, yes I said a Raccoon, and our waitress, along with about 3-4 other staff, decided to go outside and pet, play & feed the raccoon. Upon coming back in, our waitress we heard say, it bit her! Now i am hoping once she went into the kitchen area, she washed her hands throughly, we are not sure. She then comes out to ask my Dad if he wanted Lettuce, Tomato, or Onion on his Ham & Swiss sandwich. He didnt and he also said he did not want it on Rye, but their Italian Bread, they brought it on white bread, but they did fixed it for him. I ran out of my drink, and she took it to refill, and well i never got that back till we were about to leave! The food was not bad, but the service, left a lot to be desired! I am also not sure, but there was no Air Conditioning (it was 95° outside), they had to fans running, which was basically blowing hot air around the place. The Bathrooms had a funky smell to them as well. Ive ate here before, and it was not like this, but it seems the place may be heading downhill.
Best pizza in the area..just had a large pizza ask and received one with 1/2 half pepperoni and Italian sausage with extra crispy crust...got just the way I wanted it..cost was $ 8.69 They make their own buttery garlic sauce that comes with the pizza..scared the pizza with my wife..ask for a second sauce not a problem..they have daily very reasonable specials and the best homemade bread meaty philla cheesesteak in town and to top the meal off tiramisu and granules...a must visit place...friendly staff that remembers frequent customers and their usuals...nice to be remembered...same great service every time..

In early August, Finelli's catered the food for our Italian family reunion in Duncansville. The food was very good and very authentic. The servers were very kind and helpful. Mrs. Finelli even came to our event to help out. It was a wonderful experience. We plan to go to their restaurant in Altoona, the next time we are in the area.
Not a bad little local spot. More than once I have gotten stuck waiting for pizza in the drive-through, but if you have time to eat-in, there is a nice little seating area. Usually quiet inside, and mostly void of undisciplined children. Staff is friendly and efficient. Pizza isn't bad, depending on your expectations for square slices, but the sandwiches are my personal favorite. Don't expect to get an extra cut or two, even on large pizza orders.

We stopped in here for a late dinner on a weekday evening. The place was not very crowded and we were served promptly. We ordered a margarita and an amber ale for drinks then shared their delicious fried calamari appetizer. We then shared a Marzoni's special pizza on thin white crust. The pizza was very good. All in all a nice dining experience.
