O.K, let me begin by saying that you can't go wrong with the food. The chicken wings are exceptional. The prime rib special is great. Dinner salads are always fresh and satisfying - real greens. The chicken marsala, shepherd's pie, lobster ravioli, and baked salmon are never disappointing. If you want simpler fare they have a good selection of burgers and sandwiches. I don't really indulge anymore but I know that their desserts continue to be awesome. Also they are competitive in their beer selection with the two breweries in town. The one thing that prevents a top score is the noise level. This is a small tavern and when it is crowded the sound can be very loud indeed! Most of the time we have gone has been on the weekends admittedly but it is a popular place and dinnertime all week draws a good crowd. If you're O.K. with noise and don't plan on having an intimate talk with your significant other by all means don't hesitate!

I typically frequent this prime spot in Havertown PA just as a matter of fun and social interaction. The staff is great!! The drinks are excellent!! The bartenders are really cool!! And they have entertainment numerous times per week including live music, solo's, open mike nights, bands, and DJ's. They also have numerous TV's for sports events which they keep up to day and mix and match for the events of the day. I would recommend this place to all who like Irish type pubs!!

26 years ago we started going to the Westgate Pub but then we moved and hadn't been back in 18 years until we stopped in yesterday. It's still wonderful with great food, friendly fast service and super affordable. No one can give you a colder beer than here. Keep up the good work Westgate!
So excited to pop into Town tap for a gorgeous Sunday funday. We attempted to order our usual beer but one was gone. Bummer. We were sure to get back on track ordering our usuals from the menu. Pretzels with cheese & mustard, which is how it reads on the menu, It arrives with two mustards.... we request cheese, no longer available. Ouch. Wings come out which are always A-mazing. Not today! They were ehhhhh. We thought maybe it was us. Well, we were told, new chef, he changed up the menu. & not for the better. Sad day. We wanted to host a party at town tap, thatâs out the window & now we will have to find a new local spot. Disappointing.

I've got to say that depending on which location, you dine, the rating will change. Overall, the food is okay, service is always excellent. The noise and overcrowding makes it not worth it for me. I rated it 3 stars, because a certain crowd may see it as a fun bar spot.
There is nothing spectacular here. Just a good local joint. Menu is very simple and limited. Usual bar fare. Burgers, pork, OK Salads...like the spinach Caesar with chicken. My fish and chips were good enough...especially when you get to the Cod below the too burnt beer batter. Lemons which should come out automatically with this dish had to be specially ordered and the very thin sliced lemons demonstrated that they were really intended only for the drinks. Good full service bar and service was fine if not too accomplished. Again, what do you want from a nice, low-keyed neighborhood hang-out? Prices were moderate though maybe they could have been a tad lower since nothing overly special was happening here. I saw some happy local patrons in here. Always the sign of an OK tavern.

A group of six cousins met here for lunch and we all enjoyed it. We were seated in an area by ourselves so we were not rushed and were able to just sit and talk. The food was good, as was the service.

White Dog Cafe has been engaging its local community with award-winning contemporary American cuisine, since 1983 in Philadelphia and since 2010 in Wayne. Known for creative menus, using the highest quality farm-fresh ingredients and humanely raised meats
WOW! first time here. We had spent two days in downtown Philadelphia and were meeting my fiance's relatives at this restaurant, which was 20 minutes from their house. 6 of us. Honestly, this restaurant is definitely 5-stars. Incredible service and wish i could remember her name. Knew the menu so well and even took time to get a gluten free roll for one of our guests while we snacked on the other rolls.Cucumber and salmon mouse sandwich for me and I kept sneaking french fries from my fiance's plate - outstanding. The quality of the food and the great choices (rotating menus with the seasons) made me wish i could have eaten here more times!Truly a treat and such a well decorated restaurant too! Very popular place for lunch - place was very crowded for lunch!

These guys know GOOD Beer and they make it even better. It appears they got inspiration from the great farmhouse breweries in Belgium and then combined their knowledge of beer making with good old American ingenuity --- voila â they created some master brews, all balanced, but demonstrating what an imaginative and passionate bunch they are. Fuzzy Green, a Cucumber IPA or Milkshake IPA (Extra Vanilla Double) or the Ourison, a lengthy cask conditioned Saison. Everything is produced locally, on-site, in small batches, and with the freshest, high quality ingredients. The beertenders are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Parking available in their lot. I picked up several 4-packs to enjoy at home.

Had a very nice lunch- tacos and beers - with a business associate. Service very good and staff friendly and accommodating. Tacos were crispy chicken- three on a board. I would order again! Lunch event was spoiled by an overzealous Havertown parking nazi who wrote me a ticket in an unmarked, no meter spot. Thanks Havertown..
