In 1863, it was the site of the epic Battle of Gettysburg, in which some 50,000 soldiers were killed. It is also, of course, the place where Abraham Lincoln delivered the immortal Gettysburg Address. The town itself is made up of houses, hotels and taverns dating back several centuries, but Gettysburg offers more modern travel and leisure activities, as well, like wine tastings, orchard tours, shopping and golfing.

The Pike Restaurant and Tap House located in historic Gettysburg, PA offers a variety of different options, from our extensive menus to deciding where you would like to sit and enjoy your delicious meal. We offer an indoor dining area and separate sports
We went for dinner on a Friday evening. We were seated in the bar area. It smelled like disinfectant which makes you wonder what it was covering up. The fried chicken was dry and way too salty. The pan fried scallops were also over salted but plump and juicy. There was a seafood buffet which seemed way over priced at $43.00 -- unless you're prepared to eat a whole of lot of fish from the steam table. My guess is you should probably stick with basic bar food -- sandwiches, fries, etc.The Pike seems to be a local favorite. I have to wonder if it's outlived it's reputation a bit. The service was friendly but on the slow side. The decor was unappetizing.

Our menus are as refreshing as our inviting dining space on Lincoln Square at the heart of Gettysburg. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner our menu is sure to delight. The breakfast menu includes traditional and healthy choices as well as one of Lincolnâs
Great atmosphere & dining space. Requested wine and they fulfilled the request with one glass for each of us. The food had massive servings and the meat was very tender. I expected more flavor as my meal was bland. Service was not bad! Dear Ashriccione, Thank you for choosing to dine with us at One Lincoln. We appreciate your patronage and value your repeat loyalty. Thank you for your comments on the food and wine. We will address the dishes to accent the flavor as you recommend. The entire team joins me in thanking you for your valuable recommendations. Thank you. John Berndt, General Manager

It was recommended to us by friends to have dinner at the Gettysburger, which we opted to do on a Sunday evening. The service was a bit slow, but it didn't appear to be our server's fault; she appeared to be covering more tables than normal. The burgers, when they finally arrived 45 minutes after sitting down, were alright. They had potential - but were a bit overdone and were clearly sitting for a few minutes before being served. I see most of the reviews here paint a much better picture, and I'd be willing to try eating here again, but our initial visit was less than ideal.

We enjoyed lunch in the pub in Gettysburg which is right on the main square. Service is friendly and efficient with many choices on the menu. My wife had a chicken sandwich and I had a Greek salad with chicken. Both were good but portions were huge and we couldnât take the leftovers as we were on the road. Coffee was good. They have a large dining room upstairs with many interesting pictures the owner had taken of her grandchildren.

I have never experienced service this bad! There were only 2 servers at lunchtime who pointedly ignored us while we waited to be seated. They were down right rude acted inconvenienced that we wanted a table. Then the servers started snapping at each other over who would clear a table. What an unwelcoming atmosphere. We finally gave up and left. It is such a shame that this cute tavern is so poorly run.

We had a terrific server, Claudia, and a mediocre dinner at this restaurant. We chose the Italian Philly Cheesesteak. It was sitting in watery marinara sauce. The sauce was entirely too sweet. Not a marinara sauce at all. The bottom of the sandwich bread was too wet to pick up. This experience would have been rated one star if not for the efficient, friendly, and courteous attitude of our server.

We will be closed the first week of 2019. We will re-open on Wednesday January 9th. We are a grain to glass distillery that produces our spirits from all local ingredients where possible. Our restaurant is open Wednesday- Saturday offering lunch and dinne
Looking for a place close to our hotel with good beer. This place more than exceeded expectations. Even though they are a distillery, they had a nice beer selection. The food was interesting, tasty and fresh. They have a garden and tend to use local establishments for bread, coffee, etc. We were quite pleased with the quality of food and service. It's excellent find for a tourist town. We would definitely return.

Typical-looking bar and grill joint but the food was not typical. Â Very good prices and great selection of burgers, sandwiches, and wings. Â I ordered 6 wings with bourbon BBQ sauce and they were just decent, but not outstanding by any means. The chili was surprisingly excellent, as I find it difficult to find really good chili. Â Perfect blend of heat and sweet with generous meat and ingredients. The crab cake sandwich was just average with a good amount of crab meat but it was lacking in flavor. Â The sweet potato fries were wonderful, though, very crisp and tasty, not greasy at all. Overall, we were very impressed for a place with a small bar atmosphere to have food decent enough to want to make a return visit.

A walk back in history in a very warm, atmospheric setting--definitely one of my favorites. The food is thoroughly amazing and authentic. The decor, dishes, and hospitality is true to the beginning of the Colonial era. Service is always nothing less than perfection. There was a significant wait so plan ahead allowing extra time. You can always have a cocktail and snuggle up by one of the cozy fireplaces with your guests while waiting. It is absolutely worth it. All of the dishes are two-thumbs up! If you're coming with a large group it is best to make a reservation. It is a rather small place downstairs and can get a bit crowded. Event hall and lodging are upstairs which I also highly recommend. Again, the servers are well trained and you will want for nothing. They keep on top of everything in their period clothing that makes it even more special.

Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found
Based on recommendations, we stopped in for dinner. We did not have reservations so we did have a wait which was okay-we went to the bar for some Irish brews. The place was quite busy and the bartender had a lot to do. In addition to serving drinks, he also took food orders for those who were not eating in the dining room proper. So it was awhile before he took our drink order but he did acknowledge us. After about 1/2 hour wait, we were taken to our table. By this time, the dining room was full, so I was not happy that our table was near the kitchen and beside the band equipment. Our server was adequate- not very friendly but she had probably been there for awhile. My husband ordered the fish and chips and he was very happy with it. I ordered the Guinness stew and though it was very tasty, there were way more carrots than meat. The soda bread (not potatoes) that accompanied the stew was good. The decor and atmosphere make you feel like you could be in Ireland, but I was disappointed with the staff and my meal.
