I have been to this restaurant on several occassions and this review is long over due!Great menu and service. Love the flavours and spices in their dishes. Personal favourite is broken jasmine rice with ginger lemongrass chicken. They have wonderful Vietnamese hoagies. Worth checking out and the food and service is consistent. It's great to try different food from other cultures. Really think you will enjoy dining at Phi.

I treated my nephew and niece-in-law to lunch before they drove me to the Philadelphia Airport: They had limited experience with Japanese cuisine, and my niece was ready to take on some raw fish! The food -- beef teriyaki, sushi, sashimi, papaya salad, miso soup -- was quite tasty. Given that the restaurant was virtually empty on our arrival, we sat for far too long before our order was taken by a borderline hostile waitperson. The "Hi! My name is Cleo" approach which annoys me in California restaurants is better than the feeling that my presence was somehow inconvenient at Cho Cho San.

A friend and I went in around 830 on a Friday night. 2 or 3 tables of people. We were virtually ignored for 5 minutes. Finally someone at the bar yelled "customers". A few minutes later they cleaned off a table for us. Brought us tea and fried noodles. Never got a menu for 15 minutes. Finally gave us menus and 10 minutes later took our order. Food was not great. Service was horrible. Been there forever but never crowded. Now I know why.
My wife and I ate there. I had a "hoagie" and she had some chicken and rice dish. Their hoagie was some kind of chicken with cucumber and some other vegetables. For $4 it just just ok, not great, but not bad either. My wife was not real happy with her dish. She tends to like Asian food but was not wild about this. Not for $11.00. Our waitress was an older lady who couldn't care less if we were there or not. A younger lady was also there who was far more friendlier. I think most people are not familiar with Vietnamese food, so I think it would be helpful if the menu explained what some of the dishes are.

The food is fantastic - fresh, flavorful, expertly prepared and presented. The family that runs this restaurant is wonderful - passionate about the food they prepare and even more so about the level of service they provide. I have eaten here several times, brought several friends, tried different dishes and all have been phenomenal. Some of our favorites are: Exotic Mushrooms & Tofu, Pork Banh Mi Sliders, Beef Short Ribs, Chicken Wings, Summer and Spring Rolls. Highly recommend!

We have eaten here several times. The food is always delicious. However, we've noticed the portions getting a little smaller the last 2 times. Our server barely spoke or did any of the things that they normally do. He didn't use hardly any seasonings and seemed like he couldn't wait to finish. The vegetables they serve now are 90% corn. Before you would always get a nice variety. I had the filet and chicken. I was served 9 small pieces of filet and the same for the chicken. We've always brought the leftovers home for lunch but this time we both finished the entire meal. While we were paying our check they actually had a waiter come out, wipe the table and place the menus at our seats for the next table. It was rude. Seems as though they are worried about getting people in and out rather than quality.

We were a family/party of 4. Everyone was in the mood for something different and we had 1 pescatarian as well as a vegan with us. Everyone was thrilled with their meals!!!! We even went home with everyone having leftovers!!!! We utilized the sushi chef, the Japanese chef, and the Chinese chef. We've been there in the past for lunch, but this dinner was outstanding!!!!! Everyone that works there is so pleasant and eager to please!!!! Not only was the food presented beautifully, but it was plentiful, and exceptionally priced compared to other restaurants in the area. You MUST check out Sakana!!! They had a booming take out and delivery service as well!!!!

This place is decent. Nothing spectacular. Its Chinese food and offers the same lunch specials as any other place. I've eaten here a few times and the foods always good, fresh and hot! The last time I went to order take out on my lunch break. After paying and getting my food I asked if I could sit in the EMPTY and dark dining room to eat and read my book and the older gentleman told me I couldn't. Said that I already paid and couldn't sit.

We always seem to go here for most of our special occasions e.i. anniversary, birthdays, etc. We like the Hibachi here for the most part. Love the Shrimp and Scallops specifically. We find that most of the chefs are fun and very good but others, so-so. A perfect example of this was two weeks ago when we found our meal scrupulous but the presentation was really not up to par. It seemed that the chef was in a big hurry to move on.

Large selection of different varieties of sushi. I ordered the tuna bomb which had caviar and a quail egg on top. Miso soup was also tasty. The best salad dressing though is at sushiwa in Horsham. Would definitely go back and try some rolls.
