Bar food, bar drinks, bar noise, bar service...... it's a BAR. Not going to change the world, not going to keep people from coming back. Seemed full of locals so apparently appeals to many.Small town with several restaurants and this one not bad as stated but enough choices here that will take a shot at a different one next time eating out.
This restaurant was surprisingly pleasant when I visited recently with family. The seasonal menu was exceptionally good. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was able to accommodate our larger group and it was a nice environment to visit with family.

Were there with a group of 7. Only took a few minutes for them to get the tables together for us. Waiter was very prompt in getting our drinks and orders and returning to see if we needed anything. I ordered French Toast with Eggs and sausage links - oh boy, have never seen slices of sourdough bread this huge! I ate almost 2 of them and should have stopped at 1 :) Everyone else had good food as well.

Got into town after 3:00 and our breakfast was at 8. We were HUNGRY! Right smack in the middle of town. Outdoor seating, covered patio seating, and indoor seating. Beautifully appointed restaurant both visually and from a culinary viewpoint. Reasonably priced. Attentive wait staff. As good as it gets!

Moved my daughter into Clarion University Venango, Oil City. In her welcome bag was a card for 15% off a dinner, so we went to try out the Ale House. Huge menu to choose from. Beautiful salad bar. That even had a pasta salad, broccoli salad with cheese and bacon. The salad dressing were tasty and there was bunch of crunchy toppings. My dinner was good, but a little disappointed. Ordered the Cajun chicken and shrimp. Not spicy at all and there was only one shrimp cut into pieces. The sides were good, portions were plenty. Would I go again probably, I would try something else next time.

Linda Lou's primarily serves breakfast and lunch; however, offers a dinner menu on Friday evenings. The dinner menu includes fish, beef and pork products as well as some Italian foods. They offer a variety of pies for dessert.Portion sizes are large and priced very reasonably. Service was very attentive to our needs. This is a family-owned restaurant and several different waitress stopped to check on us.Linda Lou's is open until 7 p.m. on Fridays and either noon or 2 p.m. throughout the week depending on the day. They are closed on Sundays. They are located in an older building but the restaurant is clean.Highly recommend.

I always like traveling to Franklin PA. It's like traveling back in time and Dawndi's is a beautiful place to eat dinner overlooking the mountains of western PA. The staff was friendly and the surroundings were rustic. I liked the burgers and the Salmon entrée. They aren't noted for dessert, but they have cheesecake. It's a nice place for dinner or drinks. You'll feel right at home here!

I had a great experience while visiting Trails to Ales Brewery. First off, the atmosphere is exactly what I would want from a brewery. Located on the main street in a great little town, they did a great job with the style and vibe of the brewery. There's a good mix of table seating and a large bar with plenty of seating. The mood is good inside and it looks like someone put thought into creating a style that is inviting. The food was excellent, we had wood-fired pizza and a cheesesteak hoagie. The hoagie was a little on the small side for the price but still very good. There was a nice selection of beers to choose from and I was pleased with all the one I tried in my flight. This was the best brewery I've stumbled onto in a while. I'll be sure to stop here again when we are back in the area.

This is a little restaurant with a great selection and moderately priced. It is on the main street of town right by the town park. Go There.
Eight of us stopped here on way north and all enjoyed our lunches. Table settings beautiful as was decor. Restrooms were as well. Good food and presented well by knowledgeable waiter. Franklin is an old town with beautiful homes and commercial buildings. Near the restaurant is a music store with an assortment of antique music of the world. Not sure why Franklin allows a speed limit higher than I think it should be in their lovely downtown.
