As I was driving past the Carriage House this past Saturday I saw a large group of nicely dressed people getting read yo go in. I thought, "I know they will have a wonderful time." I was so surprised for my birthday party. It was so wonderful to see new friends and old friends and family. Due to the wait staff being so attentive I always had something to eat and drink. I joking told one of the ladies that I would secretly meet her when she brought out the next tray of scallops so I wouldn't have to share them. In less than 5 minutes she came to me with a napkin and scallop. I felt so pampered. Billy Jo and Crystal and the young man (sorry I can't remember his name. 60 yrs old does that) we wonderful. They felt like they were part of our group. Because they were so attentive I was able to talk with eveyone. Two years ago we had an 80th birthday party for my Mom at Carriage House. It left us with a fantastic memory. I am so glad my husband chose to have my party there. We have never been disappointed. We are hoping to plan a get together there next year just so we can get together.Thank you so much for making the day so special.Sincerely,Paula Mathis
Perfect for your family, a business dinner, a date night or that hearty meal after a day on the course or the slopes - a dinner at Ike's is sure to be memorable. Hand cut steaks, and chops form the foundations of the menu items our chefs have developed fo
This American Steakhouse has great food. I passed on a steak this night in favor of the Ahi tuna. It could have been a bit less cooked, but all in all it was very good. Give it a try. We are glad that you liked it!

Agree with previous negative reviews about the food: legs, shrimp and some of he blue crabs were obviously reheated from yesterday. Salad not fresh, and all way overpriced for the low quality. Used to really like it here years ago. Itâs not at all the same. Wonât be back sorry to say.

Great views, great beers, creative pub food... Eagle & the Owl in the Highland Lodge is a favorite for locals and guests alike! Take your time and hang out a while, there are still more craft beers to try and a great meal is only a quick order away.
It is still off season and no snow, so it was not busy. It is in main lodge and a very nice wood interior. Great selection of craft beers on tap. Food is pricey but it is a resort. Dinners are $20+ and sandwiches are about $15. But my pastrami wrap was full of meat and quite filling. It was Friday night so a guy was playing music. Most of parking is a walk to the overflow parking and this was off season. But a nice place, food and beer were wonderful.

We stopped after visiting the Pippin Festival in Fairfield. They had a good selection of lunch items to choose from. The sandwiches we selected were quite good. My friend and I both selected a grilled chicken sandwich, mine had provolone and grilled mushrooms and hers had pineapple and teriyaki sauce. My spouse had a burger. The side salads were very fresh and tasty . My only issue is that is pretty dark inside so we tried to sit closer to the front of the restaurant where light was coming in from the windows there.

We stopped by for breakfast, and everything was delicious classic diner food. The homefries are obviously made on site and not those annoying tiny diced ones. It's hard to find good country ham, and mine was thick, tender, and just salty enough. Our waitress was friendly and always there when we wanted more coffee. The only flaw was that it took 40 minutes from the time we ordered until the food arrived. We were in no hurry so it didn't cause a problem, but it could easily have been a disaster. As long as you're not on a schedule, you'll love the Village Book & Table.

I wrote a review of Frontier three years ago to the month and I wanted to to a follow-up.Things have improved a little. Not the food, that can't be improved upon, it's fantastic! But the service has improved since that last review. Actually it improved last year, but I neglected to do a follow-up. They actually started using that second window I talked about and did just as I mentioned and started taking orders at one window and have other people serve the food at the other window. This has significantly sped up the process. But, the wait in line is still significant because their business has also increased, so the lines are still long and you still stand in the hot sun waiting. It's funny, the area around the place has a lot of trees for shade, except where you have to stand in line. The new frustration can be finding a seat since business has increased so much they often run out of available tables. Also, in my original review the price for the complete meal was $12, well it's now $15. The complete meal gives you the best of everything and is a lot of food, so unless you're really hungry, or want different meats, you can split a meal.All-in-all, it's a great place and I've never found it's equal in both food and atmosphere, but I'm not a patient person for long lines and have always faulted the owner of a business where this is a constant problem for not reevaluating his processes to reduce or eliminate lines.

With origins dating to 1757, The Fairfield Inn is one of America's oldest, continuously operated Inns. The Inn offers all the refinement and charm one would expect from a small luxury hotel. Individually decorated bedrooms, spacious private bathrooms, and
Possibly our worst dining experience ever, and we eat out a lot. First of all it was difficult to make a reservation. Always had to leave a message, and they either didnât call back or were slow to call back, so our plans were uncertain for days. When we arrived and gave the receptionist our name, she acted like she knew who we were, but we were placed in the fartherest, most remote corner of the restaurant even though there were only 6 other people dining and plenty of empty tables. When we inquired if we would be able to see the show from our table, the receptionist moved us to another room - a small parlor-type room with 5 tables, 4 of which were set for dinner, but we wee the only ones there. One other couple eventually showed up. It was 30 minutes before a server appeared, and we had to ask to place a drink order. It took 15 additional minutes to get my mixed drink - a total of 45 minutes after we arrived. Throughout the evening I was never asked if I wanted another drink. This was indicative of the poor service throughout the evening. 30 minutes after asking for a refill on her iced tea, my wife had to knock on the kitchen door to find someone to give her some iced tea. Dinner was more disappointing than the drink service. We were not given eating utensils or a napkin, so I had to retrieve 2 sets of silverware from an unused table. We were not provided spoons or even a straw to stir sweetener into the unsweetened iced tea so I had to use a knife as a stir. My menu was different than my wifeâs menu in that it was lacking âsaladâ as a choice vs soup. My wife ordered pork medallions. They were very small and very thin. I ordered medium rare prime rib. It was by far the thinnest cut of prime rib ever served as an entree in a restaurant, maybe 3/8 inch thick, and it was very fatty throughout and was cooked medium-well. Nothing on either plate was more than warm. Dessert was advertised as freshly baked pie, but it was dry cheesecake with a horrible topping. We both wanted coffee with our dessert, but no one ever appeared to offer coffee until at least 15 minutes after we were finished with dessert. Bottom line - at $49.95 per meal it was a total rip-off. The one-person magic show âperformanceâ was lame and juvenile - more suited for a young childâs birthday party. The performer was a nice enough older gentleman who sympathized with us for the poor service. I am usually a generous tipper leaving at least 20% when service is good and more when it is outstanding. This is the first time I ever left a restaurant without leaving a gratuity. Our recommendation to others - donât waste your time or money on this restaurant. You will get better food and better service at any other restaurant anywhere.

We came specifically for the entertainment this weekend and grab lunch while we were there. I'm not a fan of Bar b q anything, I know who doesn't like It! Well I had a hard time with the menu the only thing that even looked remotely good was the smoked turkey, it was okay. My man likes bar b q and enjoyed the beef sandwich. The bakes beans were good. French fries were good, but you can't go wrong with them. May I suggest that have an item or two on the menu that could be a good choice (hamburger/cheese burger) for those that don't like bar b q? Thank you.

I want to start by saying the decor of the restaurant is charming and the train was adorable. The hostess was ok, she kept talking to an elderly gentleman after she asked our names for the reservation, and I had to interrupt her as she kept talking to him. Take care of the next customer then continue your conversation thank you very much.Once seated our server brought our beverage choice and our salad, which was great. Then came our main courses...the sides were great, which is basically what we had to eat because the meats were not good, in my opinion...the crab casserole was ok according to my cousin (I don't like seafood), the pork was not good, sliced pork roast with a BBQ sauce poured over it. The chicken was dry and was white meat...why wouldn't you be offered a choice of what your preference was?? As I cooked down the over cooked chicken, I had to add seasoning just to make it edible.Dessert was good, I had apple crisp and my cousin had a blackberry cobbler. For the price we paid, $27.95 per person, and I had a $10 gift certificate, this is way over priced in my opinion. I won't be making a return trip I will say that Thanks for your review. We take pride in our hospitality of service to our guests. I am sorry you were not pleased with your experience. We try our very best to make sure we serve good food and all our guests leave happy.
