After being seated which was within five minutes, we waited at least ten minutes before we were greeted by a waitress who said she would be right back. Five minutes later she returned to take drink orders. Ten minutes later she returned to take our food orders with our drinks. After 30 minutes she came back to tell us she was checking on our meals. I told her I would wait one more minute and that was all. A few minutes later she returned with our meals, when asked if she could get us anything else, I said the check. She did not seem to have a lot of customers so I had no idea why everything was so slow.Although they seemed to to have a few bus people, the floor always had some napkins, utensil, wrappers and there was even a roll which sat on the floor the entire time we were in the restaurant. This is totally unacceptable for any restaurant and knowing that we were dissatisfied the waitress offered no reduction in the bill which will make it the last time for this restaurant. The food was ok but nothing special.

I've been to Ella's before for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There's a lot to choose from and it's always been good, but I'm still in shock that I paid $17 for an iceburg lettuce salad called a Tropical salad. #1 - I had to pick out some wilted pieces of lettuce; #2 - the almonds it was supposed to have were a couple slivers that may have amounted to one almond. #3 - There were 2 small strawberries cut up and #4 - the coconut chicken strips totaled about one large chicken finger. That plus a soda to go was over $17. I will have to rethink going there again any time soon.

Aa part of a group, I've made ten or so trips here for a few beers & a light meal.Although some choices were not that good, most were. The bruschetta is excellent as is their "Just a burger."They serve Rolling Rock in a bottle accompanied by a frosty glass.

We attended a luncheon that was presented by a local funeral home, Well attended. Our lunch was served buffet style in their back room (which I believe is not open to the general public, They served sliced roast beef in gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans with cole slaw. Food was ok but not great.

In 2007, Anthony Morgan and Mike Cottle purchased what was once L.C. Jordanâs and opened the Black Gryphon, adding to a legacy of more than seventy years of dining at the location. The Black Gryphon, which represents the Morgan family crest, was based on
Have now been there twice since the reopening (was never there previously). Both times the service was really bad. Long delay between ordering and receiving first course, salads and soup, and between courses. Both times the wait staff gave the excuse âthe kitchen is backed upâ. Which was interesting since there were many vacant tables and it was a Saturday evening. Wonder what is like when they are full. Also, there is an additional charge added to the check for credit card processing.Seems the old adage applies to the Black Gryphon: âFool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on meâ.We will NOT be going back.Sorry for your disappointment on your dining experience at BG. We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers. Yes, during our busiest times, food/beverages will take longer than normal, for all are made fresh to order. Though you may see empty tables in the dining room, we also have a 40 seat lounge, plus a side dining room which can be utilized. Now for the convenience fee for credit card use of 2%, we decided to do this back in 2013, when the law was changed that did not allow you to have a minimum charge, and we did not want to raise all of our prices across the board, so those paying with cash or local check, did not pay more and we also did not want to go cash only with an atm machine in the foyer, which would have had a surcharge that was much greater than the 2%, so that is why we decided to go with the convenience fee, splitting the increasing costs charged to us by CC processing companies, with those customers who decide to pay with cc's. If you would like to avoid these fees in the future, feel free to pay with cash or local check, with an id.Once again, sorry for your disappointment during your dining experience and next time you are in, please feel free to ask for me, so I may apologize in person. Thank you.

The pork sandwiches are so tender and flavorful. There's a good selection of sauces to add to them, from Georgia peach to a nippy vinegar base and many in between. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Add a decent selection of sides and what is there not to like. Delicious!

Stopped in on a Saturday. It was a few minutes until opening, but they allowed us in anyway. (That was nice, a lot of places make you stand outside until it's exactly opening time.) Fun inside atmosphere. Plenty of seating. A bit of outdoor seating. Order at the bar, then they bring the items to you. Good beer selection. 4 beer flight samples available. Good menu. Just the right amount. And they have a kids menu. Food was very good. We really enjoyed our lunch and would go back the next time we were in the area. Another plus...free wifi!

As locals we stopped by this newly remodeled restaurant for dinner. "Wow!" We were pleasantly surprised and excited for the fresh look. The name is a bit misleading as it is located on the Hershey Road but is really an Elizabethtown address and actually closer to Elizabethtown than Hershey. The new decor is updated, fresh and clean. I could not help notice the fresh sunflowers on each table indicating that someone is paying attention to the details. Seems the remodel will continue in phases with the kitchen being next and the original seating area being done in a third phase. We were greeted by friendly and attentive staff. Our dinner was excellent. I love that it is BYOB. Prices are affordable. It does seem that some attention may need to paid to the level of noise. We are very happy for the significant improvements here. As we live close by we will spread the word to our friends to join us in supporting a great choice for a casual meal out. We will most certainly be back. It feels like a place where they might get to "know our name" as regulars.

Went to happy hour first and then dinner in the dining room.this was the night before a local college graduation. The bar was busy but thankfully not to noisy. Generous pour on the wines. Dinner was very good. I had the special which was prime rib for $19.99.. think it was more like a sirloin steak as it was quite thin. Turn it was very good and the sides were also good. My husband had the Reuben and it was excellent.

We met friends for dinner. Our two orders were Crispy Chicken and Fish and Chips. Both wer served in a timely way and piping hot. Paul the server did a great job. We chose to eat outside on a beautiful evening. The restaurant was busy, and the parking lot was full. But, there was no waiting line. They have lots of seating capacity. We'll be back.
