My husband and I recently dined here for lunch and supper and both experiences were exceptional. We tried the following: Hamburger, Pulled pork, special grilled cheese, special chicken supper, beet salad, mac-n-cheese, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, a variety of desserts. Everything was excellent. Staff all very personable and made sure everyone was taken care of properly. This was my favorite pulled pork sandwich, enough meat for 2 sammies. French fries are beyond generous and tasty, though I like less seasoning/pepper so would ask for them without next time. Homemade chips are also great. Burger cooked as requested and yummy. Mac-n-cheese very cheesy. The veggies are just excellent and flavorful. Hubs enjoyed the beet salad and it wasn't too skimpy on the beets (though he would have loved more). The chicken was very tender and the side of risotto was a true risotto and cooked very well and great flavor. They have a pastry chef and we enjoyed everything we tried.I feel the prices are very reasonable considering the amazing quality you get and very large portions. The burger and fries $10, pulled pork a few dollars more. Sides are very large. Chicken dinner was $23 and was 2 chicken breasts. You can't eat at chain restaurants and get this quality and quantity for the price. The only thing I could recommend is to have larger water glasses so the kids don't have to run around doing refills as much (their crew really hustles and never missed a beat) and to have a better system for dinner opening on busy nights. One lady almost had a stroke because she thought we cut in line. Maybe pick a number while you are lined up outside waiting to get in. Cannot believe we finally got such a great place so close to home!!!

Stopped here for lunch during our biking trek on the Great Allegheny Passage. A tea room and gift shop 300 feet off the trail in this small burro of Boston PA. They serve lunch only, sandwiches and soup and a few sides. I would call them gourmet sandwiches served simply. Chicken, beef, lobster cake, tuna and pork were offered. All four of us had a different serving and all were great. Strangely enough the green beans were outstanding. Great hospitality. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the nice weather.

Long-running Pittsburgh-born chain known for sandwiches piled high with coleslaw & french fries.
I know this is a heresy around here but Iâm not a Primanti Bros. fan. Their huge sandwiches not withstanding, the fries get cold and soggy quickly, the slaw is nearly tasteless, and the service slow. To top it off the room was noisy even though it was only about 1/3 full, the decor was old looking and everything was dingy, including the glasses and silverware.

I've been passing by Elliot's Barbeque for over three years, and on a Saturday afternoon, I did a U-turn and stopped for lunch. I was thrilled with the food. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. I usually don't ever concede defeat to a sandwich, but I had to ask for a container to take about one-third home. It was great pulled pork on a big bun. I like going to places like this for cole slaw. I was not disappointed. Really good textire, not too coarse, not to fine, just right. I asked about the recipe, it is made on-site. It tasted very much like the slaw recipe that is used at the local parish's fish fry that everyone raves about, at at my church, it cannot be confirm nor denied that we have obtained that recipe. I sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon, and had a draft while waiting for my food. The staff was coming in for dinner, and they were all pleasant. But what was remarkable was the cook coming out and proposing a combo special for the evening, and proposing a price. Holy Smokes ! ! If I didn't have a prior commitment, I would have return home, loaded up the car and said that we're going out a day early for Father's Day to go back for the rib eye steak and barbeque rib special. I will go back. Definitely. Not a fancy place, just to go back to get some good food with some good people.
The club has very good food, everything is fresh and the service is fast. they have a decent menu selection and never crowded.

I was told that the burger was really good, I tried it tonight and they were right! Good meat, lots of cheese, good service, I'll be back for sure.Sure its a golf course and it may not have been on your radar. I love the small local spots, especially when I can find a good meal. A great burger, fresh cut fries, ice tea, $12.50, not bad, especially as good as it was.

Stopped for lunch on 1/8. After navigating a icy parking lot and sidewalk, we were the only diners around 1pm. I have been here before when busy and never noticed a timing issue. We ordered an app, and dinners with salads. The whole process took about 45 in to 1 hour to receive the third course of dinner. I realize the items are made to order but there should be a faster sequence of delivery.Clams/linguini and meatloaf were good. The fried mushrooms had the taste of unfiltered fry oil, easy fix. Salads with cucumbers had the appearance of freezer burn. Thats where the produce fridge is running a little too cold and they freeze overnight. Tomatoes had the taste of freezer burn, and some lettice also had the appearance. Other than that rolls were hot a fresh and drinks were refilled non-stop. Good place, they just need to be on the ball in the dining room. Slow time of day does not mean slow service.

We stopped in for lunch yesterday and were impressed with the interior layout. We were greeted by our waitress very quickly with menu in hand. The menu has a great amount of options, as they say, from soup to nuts. Since we did not have hours to spend we went with the all American favorite, cheesburgers and fries. Our orders came and the food was very good. The service, food, and cool interior is great! The only fault for us was the portion sizes. The burgers were small, the larger order of fries was big enough for one, and $5.00 for two glasses of soda was a bit much. The cost of the lunch will not break our bank but when I write a review I compare the establishment to other's we have visited. Please understand that this is a great tavern but not really one that we will revisit. Our fav remains the Beach House in Finleyville, just a few miles away. Rich and Dr. Linda W.

Seven of us had dinner on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was crowded but Mr. Driscoll quickly accommodated our party. All of the food was delicious. We loved the cheddar cheese soup. Others in my party had shrimp, Shepardâs Pie, chicken parmigiana and steak. The desserts were as delicious as they loooked. The atmosphere is great too. I canât wait to go back!

The Rockwell Red Lion was incredibly accommodating to our group. We were 6 adults and 3 young children coming for dinner after the 6 year old had a dance recital next door at the Grand Theater. I asked for â4 âchefs choiceâ table appetizersâ, (which of course wasnât a thing, I just wanted shareable appetizers and didnât want to choose) and they accommodated. It started our perfect âafterpartyâ. Appetizers were all delicious. Crab, wings, zucchini fries and bruschetta. That honestly would have been enough food, and we could have stopped, but we didnât. Instead we settled in for a long evening. Great company. Great fun. Great appetizers. Great drinks (and even cheap!) Great dinners. Great desserts. Great hospitality from all of the staff. Adults and kids unanimously rated the experience a 10 WITH 2 thumbs up. Every single dinner ranged from very good to exceptional. And, as I said, the Rockwell was very accommodating, we had a vegetarian that they easily and readily accommodated and 2 of the 3 kids REALLY wanted chicken nuggets. Not in the menu, but again the chef accommodated us. The house red wine with dinner was surprisingly good. And to finish the evening most of the desserts were fantastic. The pricing would be what I consider mid-range. More than an Eat N Park, less than a LaMont. The food was MUCH closer, possibly better, than The LaMont Appetizers, soup/salads, amazing bread, full dinners, alcohol/wine/beer (for some) and some desserts for 6 adults, plus kids meals with shared desserts ran about $225. Not bad for nine people and a couple of hours of fine dining. The crowing jewel of the experience was our waitress, Kylie. If any management reads these reviews, please know, she was one of the best waitstaff we have ever encountered. Give her some brownie points! She was kind, funny, efficient, helpful, and made our party feel at home. Believe it or not, being made to feel comfortable in a nice adult-centric restaurant when you are a large group with little kids and chaotic adults is a major accomplishment. MAJOR. The dancing queen insisted on giving her a flower from her bouquet because she was âsuch a nice and pretty and good waitressâ. Kylie thanked her, put the daisy in her hair and made the six year old very happy. There is no doubt we will make this a regular âafterpartyâ ritual every single time there is a recital/show at the Grand for as long as there are dancing queens in the family!I thank the management and staff and specifically Kylie for making this a way better experience than I ever anticipated. The only thing we will do differently next time is eat less. We all left over-stuffed even though everyone took home leftovers.
