A local restaurant that has been under the same ownership for as long as I can remember, continues never to disappoint. My neighbor and I went there for a Friday night and found out that the special was Prime Rib. Very nice, mature server added to the evening. The meal was exceptionally good throughout. Prime rib was cooked to perfection and the price was very reasonable. I have to add that the fire in the wood burning fireplace added to the ambiance.

For the past 6 years our ladies golf group have been gathering at Beaver Creek for our Christmas Luncheon. We occupy the dining room with it eclectic table cloths and local artist paintings on the walls. All for sale. The menu has something for everyone and I didnât hear anyone complain. There were 20 of us and we chose from the full menu AND separate checks. Wonderful. We will be back!

I go here for breakfast quite often and find it the best breakfast in Chester county. The food and service are always great and the down home feel is alot of fun. I know people who return to Downingtown from afar that always make it a point to get a "MESS' before they go home.

Seriously no balsamic salad dressing. Not many restaurants are like this and offer oil and balsamic vinegar. Generally no normal options. They also only had A1 steak sauce.

Highly recommended for its excellent wide selection of fresh salad components (to construct your own for weighing at the cash register), soups, spring rolls and much more. Clean regular type chairs & tables as well as higher stool type chairs in a quiet high ceilinged area. Best of all easy plentiful parking. Excellent fresh (not cheap) sushi and sashimi very wide selections. Excellent soups (again not cheap $3.99 for a small cup but much less than in a sit down cafe with tablecloths.) Coffee bar offers many selections of beans and roasts (very affordable). Lots of tables and usually busy but definitely quiet enough for a confidential conversation. If you have never been do check it out and form your own opinion. Enjoyed it half a dozen times and with the appropriate (noon time and not later) expectations this cafe certainly does not disappoint.

My wife and I had a very special dining experience at Amaniâs BYOB. We arrived on a Monday night without a reservation and were promptly seated. We started with the oysters Amani which we the most flavorful stuffed oysters Iâve ever had. Exceptional flavor with spinach and wild mushrooms. The braised short rib with root vegetables was rich, flavorful and hearty. My wife had the broiled fish of the day and enjoyed it also. Service at Amaniâs BYOB is professional. The environs are cozy with an exposed kitchen. This is a must-do if youâre a foodie and appreciate the artistry of a well conceived menu.

Hadnât been to Green Street for at least a year and was some what disappointed. Had to ask for half & half for coffee (there were coffeemate cups on the table, but never touch the stuff). Ordered a two egg omelette with Swiss and mushrooms; mushrooms had a lovely herb flavor, eggs were a little tough. Loads of hash browns! Ordered rye toast it arrived dry, with a hair on the plate, no butter on the table, was told it was supposed to be in the container with the coffeemate, but it wasnât there. By the time the butter arrived the toast was cold. Andouille sausage omelette was enjoyed by husband.Green Street has lost itâs panache, there are several other privately owned breakfast spots in the area which will be higher on my list than Green Street.

Ate here with three friends early on Saturday bday evening. The room is small and if there are even a small number of people at the bar it gets very loud. By the end of our dinner we were practically screaming to hear each other. The food was good pub food. Friends ordered the poutine, wings, a burger, and the kimchi Rueben All were well prepared and enjoyable. I had the fish tacos which were very good. The failure of the evening was a plantain, chocolate, cashew concoction that was inedible. Plantains were not ripe and the dish was served cold. Our server took it off the bill. The place would be much improved with some soundproofing.
