Charged me 50p to use the toilet. Won't be going back!!!!! Charged me 50p to use the toilet. Won't be going back. Apparently they also charge British soldiers 50p to use the toilet , even though they've been clearing snow outside in freezing conditions...

A family run Italian restaurant that works hard to give the locals the very best in Italian cuisine. With a proven record of quality, we show off many of our accolades as soon as you walk through the front door. It doesn't end there. With great food comes world class customer service.. Sceptical? Come try us out for yourself!
Was taken to Gigi's for a family treat. The ambience, staff & food excellent. Great service, hot food on hot plates and good size portions. You must try the new 'Fettuccine Osso bucco' absolutely delicious. Excellent specials board with lots of fish. My husband was in seventh heaven. When next in Scotland we will be back.

Part Of A Farm Specialising In Organic Foods
My husband and I popped in today hoping to have a look at some plants.....I have given 1 star and that is for the disabled parking spaces. I didn't get much further than that because I am in a wheelchair and the huge stones everywhere made it pretty much impossible. We tried to enter the organic area and it was pretty tight. There is a path made from slabs leading to the plant area so I thought that would be easy....not at all. I made it round with a cut to my face from the overgrown bushes that stick out over the path only to find that the way to the plant area was a stoney hill that my wheelchair would never make the journey. I was really upset by this point but I now had to head back to the car past those jaggy bushes again. I protected my face with my arms but left with a torn jacket. I was disgusted that in this day and age that I had to suffer this disregarded and ignorance toward wheelchair users. I have been to lots of different Gardens in this country and in Europe and so far this place is at the bottom as far as I am concerned. These people who run this place should be embarrassed. If you use a wheelchair and plan on visiting don't expect to get past the parking space.

I have been going to Clippers in Penicuik for over five years and would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone. We are always greeted with respect and a warm smile from the staff and especially the owner. The service is always good and the food has always been very good. We have been encouraged to try new dishes to help educate my palate, but I tend to stick with the 'chicken tikka buna'. This dish suits my palate and my digestive system. I/we have tried other places but always come back to clippers and in our/my estimation is the best one for me.
Ate here on Saturday 29 July 2017. Food was quite superb, and a good reminder of how lucky we are to have this place within a five minute walk. Service a bit slow at first, but soon picked up, and a mistake on our bill...MoreThank you very much for your support and good review.

Visited here with some friends, having never been before. Thankfully trip advisor reviews were helpful, otherwise I'd have missed this absolute gem.
Food was delicious, starter main dessert. Would definitely recommend the chicken strips or pâté for a starter. The fudge cake was a total winner. Very good value for money, and the service was great, very attentive staff! Top marks....will definitely be back x

19th century house converted to a Family run Bar and Bistro. Real fires throughout. Homemade food. Private function rooms. Live Sports. Private Car Park. Great Beer Garden!
Eaten here thrice in last month, never disappointed, soups and broth top drawer, mains come in large and larger, I have only just learned about the reduced portions, next time ??? Great service and no pressure...Thank you for leaving us a review! I'm glad you have enjoyed your meals with us! 'Small eaters' portions are available at anytime, just ask the waiting staff the next time you are in. Hopefully see you in the Navaar soon!

Regularly use this for take away. Decided to sit in on 1 April 2017, a Saturday. Very basic, but clean and welcoming. Food, as usual, absolutely superb. Possibly even better than take away, but I guess that's because it's straight from kitchen without a Delivery journey. This is a bring your own alcohol place, so remember to take something with you -- then sit down and enjoy superb food.

Been 3 times to this place over recent months. It is an excellent restaurant with a bar and good selection of drinks. Very comfortable. We have thoroughly enjoyed every meal we have had, 2 in the bar area and one in the conservatory which is lovely. The only minor criticism I would have is that their mixed drinks and coffees are expensive. Other than that, go there if you haven't been. I think that most people would enjoy it!

Ate here on Saturday 18 March. Have had takeaway in the past, but never sat in. Food was excellent. Service efficient and friendly. Whole place was clean. Can't ask for anything more. Even kept a 10 year old grandchild happy. Hope to be back soon.
