Cozy french vibe restaurant tucked away in Georgetown, the decor and music really made it feel enjoyable and relaxing. Food was delicious, unique with a familiar taste, not too overwhelming. The setting is good for a special family celebration or a couples romantic night out.

Gen Communal Table is a Modern Malaysian Restaurant located in Georgetown, Penang serves tasting menus with local produceâ in a communal setting.
I wanted to be surprised and Chef Johnson and his team did much more than surprising me!. Nice setting, open kitchen, attentive service (I disagree with some other comments below), smooth service all the way (as sometimes it takes too long to be served 14 courses)Creative plating, very original dishes like the boneless chicken wings, the leek in banana leaf, the duck perfectly cooked... and the surprising pineapple dessert. A great Secret Tables experience recommended to gourmet travelers to Penang!

The Book Sandwich Cafe Is a Restaurant & Cafe at the heart of George Town Penang. Open for Lunch, brunch & Dinner. Serving fusion Sandwiches, Pasta, Burger and Steak.
Have visited this place a couple of times and so happy to find that the service and food have remained consistently good. This is something commendable, as many times restaurants in Penang simply are unable to keep up their standards overtime. The ambiance in this new location is not as hip as before as the many paintings covering the stretch of the walls are gone. Quality and quantity of food gives value for money.

The dinner for my motherâs birthday was most enjoyable.Service was good. The food was delicious. After entree and main most of my family could not have dessert so serving portions have increased.Minor hitch: the security guard refused to let me drive in even though I told him I was coming for dinner. He did not seem to read even I showed him my booking on the phone. As our visit was during the haze period the Blue Mansion with its open air and ventilation was an issue. Luckily the restaurant was air-conditioned.Dear Davidlye70, Thank you so much for your feed back. We are glad that you had enjoyed your time with us. We have also noted the comments on the guard and we will take the necessary action. We hope to welcome you back again to our restaurant Indigo.Indigo Crew

Kota Dine & Coffee @ Fort Cornwallis. Your very first dining experience within a historic and iconic landmark in Georgetown, Penang.
Pros1. Great food presentation2. Pricing fairly reasonable3. Good portioning4. Nice ambienceCons1. We had pre-ordered some food when we booked the place earlier but they did not take it down.2. When requested for warm water, we were told TWICE they donât serve normal water and we had to order mineral water. We never said we were not happy to pay for it...waiters need to be re-trained...3. ordered the cendol but it was frozen hard when it came.. told the waiters twice but they didnât do anything about it..I hope tourists donât get the wrong idea about this dish..Hi Dear valued customer,Thank you for taking time to review your experience with us. The furniture is custom made resembling 1950's vintage creating a homely atmosphere mixed with old equipment of the Chinese pharmaceutical company which owned the premises of the restaurant and boutique hotel. Lately it has been hard to find fish on the menu so I was delighted by the steamed Tilapia served with ginger, the best food this far on Penang. The front of the room opens straight to the busy streets of Little India, the ceiling fans create a nice temperature level. Service was very friendly and attentive, prices reasonable.

We came all the way to try their amazing pancakes and we arrive at 11.20 and they only serve pancakes after 12. Kind of disappointing that the meals that they advertise in their menus have timing to be served. Unfortunately we left without trying their meals.

Straight from the airport, we went straight to this restaurant for lunch. The menu seemed modest but very neatly written & presented. The dining area was also catchy with a classic European theme. The satay and the nasi lemak deserved compliments. Their flavours were well balanced and rich in textures. The only mistake was to include raw zucchini in place of plain raw cucumber. If they had used Japanese cucumber then it would have been perfect.Keep it up and for patrons, donât miss out on this hidden gem.
From the exact team that brings you Basil, le Bistrot and BLB Taipei, we are proud to present to you our new 'Piece de Resistance', Restaurant au Jardin at Hin Bus Depot, Penang.
This restaurant was totally unexpected. Housed in an old warehouse you would never expect there to be a fine dining French experience inside. The food is exquisite and the chef places a big focus on sourcing local ingredients.
