The place looks amazing but it is not worth the wait! It took 20 minutes to get our waiter to take our drinks and order, 30 minutes to get our drinks, and when the food finally came it was a disappointment! Our bolognese sauce is...MoreHi, Daniela. We stopped in for lunch on Easter Sunday. Hadn't been there in over 25 years and the interior still looks the same. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered 3 club sandwiches that were tasty served with fries and gravy. Our mothers western was excellent. Hopefully we will not wait so long for our next visit. Prices were very reasonable.

Ullrich's know how to make good food. They don't mess with experimenting on their customers, just simple, delicious, well proven food that they have been making for decades.
Plus, going next door to their deli and butcher shop is a great way to pick something up for home. Try the german chocolates while you are there, they are delicious.

Westwinds Family Restaurant has been serving hotel guests and locals since 1989. The restaurant is located inside the newly remodeled Best Western Pembroke Inn & Conference Centre. In 2014 a complete renovation was completed to Westwinds making it a perfect compliment to the newly renovated hotel. Every guest who stays at the hotel also receives a complimentary made-to-order breakfast served at Westwinds.
Have had to eat here now a few times and never impressed. Soggy fish and chips, tough meat and greasy breakfast with 1 pound of butter on soggy english muffin. They do not seem to have the qualifications as they often bury food with herbs to camouflage real food flavour. Will try again but will be last time if there is no improvement.

Recently we stopped at an old favorite spot that you can always count on a good burger.
Irvings is a large truck stop restaurant and we used to stop here when we went on a motorcycle tour. There is loads of parking, food is good. They have fuel and clean washrooms and a great store.
Here is the thing, we have always had a piece of butterscotch pie because it was so delishes but this time the pie was really bad, I was so disappointed I don't think I will stop there for pie again. It was just off. Maybe they changed their recipe, if they did they should go back to the old one. I couldn't even finish it.

Great breakfast. Not the best Eggs Benedict we have ever had but tasty and reasonably priced. Seemed like a very popular place with locals. Waitress was friendly but almost annoyingly so with her one-liners and flip attitude. Will visit again when in Pembroke.

Stopped in for a quick meal. It was not very busy at the time we went. Service was really good, and quick.
The food was very good tasting and if I could make one suggestion....get the deep fried pickles...ahh delicious.
They have craft beer on tap which was nice and refreshing. Also there is a spot for a live band to play. From what we were told it's a hoping place when the band are playing.
Can't wait to go back.

The delicious pastries are the big attraction here. The lunch room is a bit sparse of decor. Standard sort of chalkboard lunch menu plus Schnitzel or Wurst. Interesting cheeses
I wrote a lengthy review but it didn't save properly so here's an abbreviated version.
Went here with a guest after Reading good reviews. Walking in, the dishes being brought out looked amazing and we were looking forward ot a pleasant meal.
The waitress, a young lady, was so obnoxious we just got up and left. We weren't complaining, just asking a couple of questions about the menu because we'd never been there before. Apparently this particular staffer doesn't have much tolerance for noobs.
No problem. We got up and walked out and went to a little crepe place up the road and had an AMAZING meal and service. Will review them shortly. It was a whole different world.
You couldn't pay me to sit in this place and put up with that attitude but I might consider trying Takeout.

We are a gourmet creperie that offers a wide variety of savoury and sweet crepes, with many fusion-inspired fillings and toppings. Everything is made from scratch, using the finest and freshest ingredients available. We are a small, cozy and rustic creperie which offers a truly innovative and gourmet gastronomic experience. We carry fine wines and bottled beers, as well as high-quality coffees and espresso.
First time there but very pleasently surprised that l liked Crepes. I never relized that they can be a meal and a very fresh tasty meal at that.We had a private retirement party and it was the perfect place to have that. The staff treated us like we were friends. It was very comfortable and the food was amazing. I hope to go back real soon and try lunch.
