Reviews on Italian food in Nafplio, Peloponnese, Greece. Nafplio (Greek: Ναύπλιο) is a seaport town in the Peloponnese in Greece that has expanded up the hillsides near the north end of the Argolic Gulf. The town was an important seaport held under a succession of royal houses in the Middle Ages as part of the lordship of Argos and Nauplia, held initially by the de la Roche following the Fourth Crusade before coming under the Republic of Venice and, lastly, the Ottoman Empire. The town was the capital of the First Hellenic Republic and of the Kingdom of Greece, from the start of the Greek Revolution in 1821 until 1834. Nafplio is now the capital of the regional unit of Argolis.

Good price, good service - not overly attentive. Bit out of the old town, the whole area has been regenerated and is now quite pleasant. This restaurant ought to be more popular than it is. Good prices, not an overly extensive menu but what they do they do well.

After a long day's travel and getting tired of souvlaki I felt like a pizza and came across Carrera's near my hotel. Friendly staff especially the young waitress as the Wi-Fi was not working so they restarted the router for me.I had the small Genova with pepperoni and it was tasty and filling. Even the small is 6 slices but I was hungry. As I sat inside, I enjoyed watching the pizza chefs twirl the dough before putting on the fillings and cooking in the wood fired oven. The Mythos draft beer was ok too.Recommended for casual meal.

We had our pasta and pizza party there, just the day before running the marathon. Itâs small but lovely and the service is very efficient. The pizzas (margarita and special) were very good, close to the italian ones. The spaghetti (original carbonara and spinach stuffed tortellini) were basic. The portions are big enough. Reservations are recommended.

The restaurant is open from april to late october. Pizza baked in a wood oven. Ravioli and tagliatelle are homemade.
Not a logical place, away from the town's main square, but very worthwhile. Simple restaurant, unpretentious but very tasty! Great pizza's!! Price-quality is excellent!

We love this Italian restaurant - weâve been there twice during our stay in Nafplion. Lovely outdoor seating area, helpful and friendly staff and delicious food. The rocket and Parmesan salad is fabulous and huge! The pizzas are excellent - great crust and generous toppings. Last night I had one of my favorite dishes - Cacio e pepe. Delicious! I want to go back and try the risotto and the ravioli! Excellent choice for families, couples, meat eaters and vegetarians. I know weâre in Greece but weâve had a lot of Greek food so are enjoying a little variety! We were just in Sicily and this is honestly better than food we had there.

We've brought a little piece of Italy to Nafplio's port city! Using only the finest ingredients, we bake to perfection the traditional Neapolitan pizza cooked in our wood burning Italian Valoriani oven. Enjoy pasta dishes made from authentic recipes and f
After a good experience two years ago, we visited Il Porto again. We (3 adults) ordered a starter and a main course. The starters were ok, but the main course came immediately after without our asking. The Restaurant was almost empty, so no need for this rush. The two ladies had Tagliatelle that was overcooked. The Calzone was big but not very tasty. Nobody of the staff asked what we thought about the food or the service.
